EXIF in JPEG?

I am trying to find metadata in a JPEG. This webpage (https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-view-exif-metadata-on-mac/) says that in Preview we can go to General Info to More Info. In that window we should be able to see a header for Exif. But in the photograph I am examining now, I see in the More-Info window no heading for Exif:

I wonder if there is something about this particular JPEG that it does not apparently have an Exif data.

Is that possible? Is it likely?

Most of my JPEGs taken with a digital camera are tagged with many EXIF tags, that are shown in Preview.

It will depend on the source of the JPEG. If your JPEGs have not been taken with a digital camera, but are screenshots or JPEGs converted from graphics the EXIF might be missing or only shown in IPTC tags.

Preview will be called "Vorschau", if the system language is set to German.
