Green flash on iPad screen

Hello,

I’ve been using the 12.9"iPad Pro 2022 for a week now and I’ve noticed some weird green/blue flashes sometimes. Especially on the Ted Lasso show which I took pictures of to show what I mean. But it appears also when I quickly browse through photos. These flashes don’t last, they appear for like a micro second.

I had a 11" iPad Pro before and several iPhone and I never experienced something like that. This is quite disturbing. Could it be a defective model? I’d hate to have to get the iPad replaced since I don’t have any Apple Store nearby. Is it somehow normal behavior for a mini led display?

If someone could enlighten me I’d really appreciate it.

Here are the photos I took. You can see it just “blinks green” for a fraction of a second, especially when there’s a lot of contrast in the image.

We'd first recommend making sure your iPad is completely updated. Here's how to do that: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.

The most current update is iPadOS 16.6: About iPadOS 16 Updates.

Then if the issue continues, we'd recommend having the device inspected. You can get in touch with Apple Support or Find Locations. You would need an appointment.

Hi and thank for the reply. I posted on the French Apple forum as well and did everything people suggested like checking all the settings and ultimately factory resetting the iPad in order to see if it could fix the issue. It didn’t and I now think this is probably a hardware problem. I’ll contact the Apple Support and see what they can do about it even though I don’t have any Apple Store nearby…
