I seem unable to sign into my icloud on my mac. I have reset my password and verified on a trusted device but it keeps saying password incorrect. Any ideas how I can solve this without changing my password again!

my icloud account is fine on my phone but for some reason when I try to sign in on my imac, even though I have changed my password several times and verified on my iphone I can't seem to to use icloud on my mac. Any advice on how to fix please?

iMac 21.5″, OS X 10.10
