(1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

(2)  If the above does not work then - Follow the instructions in this article by Apple ➔ If your iPhone is Non-Responsive or Frozen and see if that helps

I had the exact same issue and it's now in the process of being fixed by Apple. I took my phone the Apple store and learned that the white screen is caused by a recent iOS update which is incompatible with display hardware in certain phones such as the 13 Pro Max, purchased in certain countries and with particular model/serial numbers. They're replacing the screen for free. I had to sign something stating that I might lose my data so might need to use iCloud to restore. Hope this helps guys. Good luck!

If your iPhone is stuck on a white screen due to a software issue, then there are some ways to fix it: Force Restart, restoring your iPhone through iTunes on a laptop, or using DFU mode. The primary fix to try is Force Restarting, which you can do by pressing the volume up and down buttons quickly, then holding the side button until the Apple logo appears.

I do have the same issue and it happened earlier this month, brought my phone to Istore for checking and the diagnostic was display issue so I called Apple customer services and complained they know about the issue since its already common in 13 Pro max, but they informed me there are cases Apple waived the fee but not always. Try also to ask assistance from the Istore technician to help you escalate it to Apple for more chances to have them waived the fees.

Bringing your iPhone to a workshop for repair has its advantages, especially if you still have warranty coverage or you are using an authorized Apple service provider. Professionals can assess whether the issue is due to a software problem that can be fixed without replacing any parts or if it requires hardware repairs.

Additionally, opting for a known and reputable workshop can ensure that you receive quality service and possibly save time in getting your device back to working order. Before proceeding, it’s wise to check reviews and ensure they use genuine parts, protecting the integrity of your phone in the long run.

The white screen problem is really frustrating, especially if it has not been dropped or soaked in water. I have encountered similar situations before, which were caused by system errors after iOS updates. You can try to force restart the iPhone, which often works.

If it doesn't work, I recommend you follow this tutorial:

First try the recovery mode as it won't delete user data.

If your iPhone is stuck on the white screen of death, it usually indicates a malfunction within the device's operating system, which may be a result of a software glitch or hardware failure. Attempting DIY solutions, such as resetting the device or restoring it via recovery mode, sometimes resolves the issue.

Including force restore, recovery mode and use a repair tool.

If you tried the force restart already. (If not try that first) Not sure if this will work, download apple service app from Microsoft store if you have a pc. Then hook up your pc and iPhone with a cable. See if apple service app will save your iPhone. Either by restoring or to factory default settings. (You don’t need the app just hook directly if you have a Mac)

Apple devices are usually quite stable. I guess this may be a system problem caused by an update. You can try to force restart by quickly pressing the volume up and volume down, and then long pressing the power button until you see the Apple logo.

If it still doesn't work, . It may solve this white screen problem. I have used this tool and it works for me. Hope it helps!
