iPhone stuck on white screen

I have an iPhone 14 Pro and this same thing happened to me yesterday. I was listening to music in the car and it suddenly went to a white screen. I have tried forced restarts and even connected it to my MacBook and updated and restored it. I talked with Apple Support and had already done everything they had suggested doing. They are saying I am outside of my limited warranty, but I could have an inspection done at an Apple Store for free. I just went ahead and got a new phone from Verizon, but I had to pay off the broken phone before I could even do so. I even tried putting my phone in a bag of rice in case it somehow got moisture in it. I bought this phone in April 2023. I always keep it in a case. It hasn’t had any major falls or submersions. I don’t know what could have happened, but there went $750 in one day.

I bought an iPhone 13 pro in December 2022 in South Africa.

While I was listening to a podcast on my phone, that was lying next to my computer at my desk, the screen of my iPhone suddenly turned completely bright white.

I could not shut it down but even after it shut down by itself, (when it died due to insufficient battery), it was still bright white after I turned it on again.

The service shop in Spain said the warranty is only 1 year ( because I bought it outside Europe ) and the repair of a new screen will cost me 349 euro.

I am not planning to go back to South africa soon so now I am stuck with a phone I can not use unless I pay 349 euro, although I found online that this issue is common.

Lots of people have this problem with the iPhone 13 series, apparently it is caused by faulty hardware.

I would appreciate apple looking into this problem and repairing the issue for free.

Did you raise your concern to apple support?

We had the same issue with white screen of death my 13 pro max is only 19 months old no scratches, no dents, no crack and history of misused. I do have other Iphone models like 7 Plus and still working fine except for the battery knowing the wear and tear. I have faith in apple expensive but quality is great and reliable. But so disappointed when this happened then I tried to open a case and escalate it but they refused.

iPhone white screen issue

I have iPhone 13 Pro phone . I woke up with my iPhone 13 Pro white screen completely. This happened due to update of ios 16.6 version. I have always faith in Apple . But this time happened was shocking. Not even single fall or water touching . Not a single scratch on body of iPhone just 18 months old phone

CAN ANYONE HELP? I iPhone 13 Pro done this white light stuck on screen tried force restart several times appl logo will not pop up nothing will except the white screen ok and off again but no slider or logo .. can the lcd be fixed or does this need to be replaced completely? No drops cracks or anything just happened randomly ?? Please and thank you 🙏

My phone is also dead like this. The screen flashes several times and is white. As this is a company falt Apple should be responsible for this and needs to be involved. But this company is now acting irresponsibly. This is disgusting

HELP! I am having the same issue except when I force quit nothing happens EXCEPT a siren sound and my flashlight goes on and off, my phone then launched into emergency mode and connected me to 911.... I am working all weekend and need my phone. If anyone has any clue how to resolve this, please let me know asap.

OMG! Yes, this is obviously a fault in the iPhone 13 pro max. I was using my phone as normal and all of a sudden the screen just went a bright white light. There was no cause for this, ie., no temperature change, accident, unusual activity.

I did the reset as advised and just like everyone else here still have the bright light. I can hear the phone is still operational under the white light.

I bought this iPhone expecting quality. iPhones are not cheap. I bought mine at it's top price, brand new. I did not expect it to have technical issues in such a short time.

Hey there! Same issue after updating to iOS 17.5. Woke up to a white screen. I have tried resetting it, hard resetting it, rolling back etc but nothing seems to work

The screen lights up when i pick it up & I can lock and unlock the screen but nothing more, just a white screen.

Have you managed to figure out a solution?

Hi, same thing happened to my 13 promax, I updated to the latest iOS then my screen started to flicker. After a day, it went white. I tried force resetting but it won’t work. Apple mobile care said it’s not covered anymore since it’s after the warranty. What other options can be done? Thanks in advance!

In my case, I literally just woke up and after FaceID unlocked my phone it went all white screen on me.

Question for anyone, has this issue happened to any of you a second time? I’m now a little worried it might come to me again in a way worst moment. I’m on iOS 17.5.1.

It’s just 2 year old phone , now they are asking to bear the cost of its repair by replacing with a new display which is costing around 30 k , why should a customer bear this cost ,apple should bear the cost because they have released such faulty updates without any warnings .Please do fix it
