Ipod mini won't restart after system update.

I connect my iPod mini to my MacBook Air and update the software to the latest version (16.9 IIRC).

I disconnect it from my Mac per the on screen instructions and connect it to power.

It then continually flashes on and off ad infinitum.

Any idea what the problem might be?

Thanks!

Michael

I think you've misunderstood, you don't place the iPod into play/pause mode.

Instead, you press-and-hold the centre button with one finger (e.g index finger), and (at the same time) press-and-hold the play/pause button with another finger (e.g. thumb), and (while holding both buttons down) turn on the power button of the iPod.
