New emails go directly to trash
This issue only started happening yesterday. All my new emails are going directly to the trash.
does anyone know how to fix this? It’s obviously not a filter issue within my email account.

For some time I have a problem where the email from one person gets sent directly to Trash. I have tried deleting the contact and setting it up again. I have tried making him a VIP. I have no rules set up. I use Apple mail. This happens whether I look at my mail inbox on my iPhone or my MacBook.
It is a very important contact and I really need his mail to go to my inbox, any ideas?
Thanks
I have Outlook. I didn’t do anything bc it happened in the middle of the night. When I went to sleep, my emails went to my Inbox. When I woke up the next morning, my emails were going to Trash.
The behavior you're experiencing with your emails on your iPhone 14+ may be due to the settings and filters you have in place. Here are a few possible reasons why a majority of your emails go to the Trash instead of your Inbox:
Move the email that you want in the Inbox from Junk to Inbox manually. Your one time action will trigger learning for the iPhone and all future mails from that domain ID will arrive at the Inbox.
The same thing happened to my Outlook when I signed into Outlook online and set up rules that sent certain emails to the trash -- half my emails went to the trash. I fixed the problem by deleting all rules.
I then started blocking certain accounts as an alternative. After a few days, emails from many companies disappeared* -- they didn't go to the inbox OR junk. I haven't yet unblocked all accounts in Outlook online. I hope that will fix the problem.
I think Microsoft is very bad at coordinating with Mac. They don't keep up with Mac updates, or they make updates that don't work with Macs. I have to move my domain email to a better place.
* My bank told me emails were bouncing back. Links sent by websites to change a password never arrived. Etc.
If your incoming email messages are automatically moved or placed in Bin / Trash / Junk / Archicve, the primary cause could be misconfigured rule / filter, or a setting on your Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab. To resolve this issue, please make sure you haven't created any rule / filters with the action to Delete / Move it that would affect the email messages being moved automatically to another folder..
This happened to us too. We did not have any filters or rules set at all. We lost several years worth of emails berfore we managed to stop it from happening by turning off the phone and then turning it back on. We have since abandonded Apple's mail program, and will not be going back to it.
I have this same problem for all emails from ebay
