X in iPhone 8 Settings

Dear Apple Community,

Recently, I was forced out of my X (Twitter) account after posting a comment including an honest multiple people’s (sports journalists and fans) opinion article with facts regarding F1 Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc’s experience in the Netherlands and other places. I sent a customer help request via form provided since I am a monthly X subscriber (I support honest journalism, at least, that’s my idealistic dream sort of with good news on top). I deleted the X app since I cannot access my account and did not receive help so far. What I find strange is that on iPhone 8, in the Settings, the X is still available with default background app refresh which I cannot change, nor know how to remove the X app Settings. Could you please advise since X is ‘just’ a software on my iPhone 8 hardware device (environment updated to 16.6)? All other apps act as supposed to. I am just starting out on understanding the deeper layers of softwares; therefore, I might be wrong and do not conclude anything. What I can conclude is that X software functions differently. Could you please advise how should I proceed? Thank you in advance! Have a happy and peaceful Tuesday!

If you have deleted an app from your iPhone but it still shows up in Settings, you can try the following solutions1234:

  • Sign out of your Apple ID in Settings > iTunes & App Store, wait for a minute, and sign back in.
  • Back up your iPhone, wipe it, and restore it from the backup.
  • Delete the reinstalled app.
  • Stop deleted apps from syncing when you plug in your iPhone.
  • If the app disappeared but is still installed on your iPhone, it could be due to system update failure or system errors on your iPhone.
  • If the app was uninstalled without your permission, it could be due to the iOS new feature – Offload Unused Apps.

Thank you, Anonymos User, for your detailed description! I find these steps very complicated to execute since I don’t think anything is wrong with my iPhone hardware (except battery time utilisation). Regarding environment, it is updated and secure. The question is more like, in my opinion, how X can modify the code so that it functions without the actual ‘php’ and ‘javascript’ (well, I don’t know the mobile terms). Maybe the program is run from Settings and the actual app is just that; not as we usually know the apps. I do not know the actual layer system in apps on mobile, but from the system analytics, it should be run from app using Settings as conditions. This is, of course, up to debate. Any comments?
