Low volume when calling in car, normal volume music

Since my update to iOS 16, the volume in my car when calling is very low. When I play some music the volume is normal. I tried everything, resetting the phone, delete it, reconnect it, hit all the volume buttons the universe has to offer but nothing seems to work. Is this an iOS 16 bug or am I missing something. Thanks for any help.

It's highly unlikely that this issue is related to iOS 16.

However, I won't be able to pinpoint what might be causing the problem unless you provide me with more details. Could you please specify the car model you're using and how you connected your device, whether it was via Bluetooth or an Aux/USB cable? Additionally, it would be helpful to know the nature of the call—whether it was a voice call, FaceTime call, or a call through a social networking app.

SOLVED in my case!

Some batches of front door speakers die in pairs for whatever reason.

In speakerphone mode, the car only uses the tweeters and the front door

speakers, so if the latter are not operational, you are left with low

volume chirp as the phone sound. My front door speakers were the

"modern" ones made in Brasil. Replaced them with "old" ones made in

Slovakia, now all six speakers work with music, tweeters and front door

speakers work with calls. All is well now. iOS 16 thing is probably just a coincidence.

This was also the case with a Dutch e-up owner; same problem, same solution, see
