Notification history

I retrieved a notification stating my boyfriend was new to chat meet I cleared the notification before I could screenshot it and then confronted him and of course I cannot find the notification to show him and he's denying it I did find in the notifications where you turn it on to save them but it was not on during that time does anybody know how to retrieve them if you did not have the history turned on?
