My iPhone 13 screen turned into stripes after updating to iOS 16.6

My iPhone 13 screen turned into stripes after updating to iOS 16.6, there was no physical or water damage. Apple service centre and support staff cannot figure out the reason this happened and I am left with a phone which cannot be used. Is anyone else facing this issue or has any solution for it?

(1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

(2) If that does not help, then contact 👉 Official Apple Support OR you can always get your iPhone examined at the Apple Store 👉 Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and evaluation.

Sorry to hear.

Water Resistant vs Water Proof:

It is water “resistant” not water “proof”. If it were water proof, then it would never get damaged and could stay there forever. So, only Apple has the call in what is serviced. How they make that determination, I have not a clue. Perhaps, the water had chemicals?

So, Give Apple a Call

three weeks ago my iPhone 13 Pro Max screen turned permanently yellow . After updating to latest software.

Received an appointment in Apple Store in Manchester on fri October 13th . The technician shined a torch at my sim card tray and told me water damaged was the reason and out warranty does not cover water damage. He gave me option to pay over £600 to get it fixed.

My iPhone does not get used and has a case on. My iPhone isn’t water damaged and doesn’t go near water .

Also why is the iPhone 13 Pro Max advertised has water proof below

The iPhone 13 Pro Max is water-resistant. It has a rating of “IP68” which means it's fully protected from dust and can handle being underwater for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 6 meters.

So with no warranty and being a customer since the very 1st iPhone . Apple have lied to me and I feel like I’ve been robbed ans let let down. My iPhone doesn’t get wet or go near water .

what a liberty I will never use Apple again .
