Are my photos going to disappear ?

Hi, I accidentally turned my iCloud photos off and got an email from Apple saying that they were going to delete in 30 days then I turned it back on again but I’m worried that they’re going to disappear even if I turned it back on again a few minutes later.

iPhone XS Max, iOS 16

iCloud is a safe place to keep photos, but if I were you I'd keep a backup on a separate hard drive, just for safety.
