iPad Notes app - disappearing content

We have two new iPads Pro with Version iPadOS 16.6.1

which is having problems on the Notes app.


it is not saving all the content that you write with the apple pencil when you leave the Note.

when you return back into the note some content disappeared.


any suggestions on to avoid this.

My older version iPad is not doing this.

To get started, is this occurring with notes that you have saved in iCloud, directly to the iPad, or do you use another email account to sync your notes?


If you haven't already, try restarting your iPad with the steps shown here: Restart your iPad - Apple Support


How to restart an iPad without a Home button
1. Press and hold either volume button and the top button until the power off slider appears.
2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo.


While restarting may seem like a simple step, it can often help with resolving some unexpected issues like this.
