Older AOL Folders disappeared from my iPhone

I deleted and reinstalled AOL on my android tablet and iPhone because mail wasn't updating on the tablet. This required changing passwords on both devices. As a result, I lost several AOL mail folders. The lost folders were all at least 3 years old.

Possibly related:

A few years ago, something changed at AOL. When adding new folders, the new folders didn't indent like the old folders. Example:

New Folder 1

New Folder 2

Old Folder 1

Old Folder 2

It is the old folders that disappeared

Remove your email account and set it up again

Make sure that all of your emails are there or make sure that your email is saved somewhere other than your device. On your device, go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts. Tap the email account that you want to remove. Tap Delete Account.

If you can't receive email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch ...
