Iphone and Apple TV both updated. No find button for me either.

I did use the iPhone remote app. I'm having the same issue as a few other people in this thread.
My remote find function just popped up, about an hour after I installed IOS 17.
Use your iPhone to help locate the Siri Remote (2nd generation or later) – Apple Support (UK)
You must have a gen 2 or later remote for this to work. Verify which remote you have using the link below.

I had the same issue. Apple instructions do not make it clear. Once you bring up the remote TV screen, tap on the TV name at the top of the screen. The find button will then appear.
I just setup a new ATV 4K 3rd Gen and was having the same (no find button) issue. Completed a couple troubleshooting steps to no avail. Gave up for the evening and plugged the remote in to charge…find button immediately appeared. I think the key troubleshooting step is to quit trying.
Same for me! No "Find my" button appears as it should.
You have to use the iPhone remote app, not the physical remote. Tap the Apple TV being used at the top of the screen and the Find button will be on the right. Of course both the iPhone AND the Apple TV must be on iOS 17 and tvOS 17 for this to work. It works for me just fine.
What’s changed? Possibility the firmware?
I have 0x70 and didn’t work …
I have: AppleTV 4K (first gen) running tvOS 17, Siri Remote (second gen) firmware 0x70, iPhone 13 mini with iOS 17
I will try the quit trying thing now...though I wish there was an option to not have to try in the first place and avoid the whole quite trying step. Like, a way to quit before trying...ya know?
After two days the Firmware of Siri Remote turned to version 0x83 and … now works!

Then I guess you are out of luck.
I have a Gen 2 remote. **Update** the Find My feature just popped up on my phone for the remote after having the new update for over 24 hours.
