Disable Night Mode in watchOS 10

Honestly, I'm not seeing the improvements with this update. It's not easy to see the apps I want to see anymore and now I'm seeing this annoying night mode watch face when I don't want to. My question is how can I turn this feature off permanently? Turning the crown doesn't keep it off. Thanks in advance for helping out this currently annoyed and disappointed user.

Not having Night Mode controlled by the bezel is a major inconvenience. I use this watch while I am doing both visual and astrophotography at night and the convenient bezel controlled Night Mode was one of the primary reasons I bought this watch. Having to go to my phone to activate it and then back to the phone to disable it is way too inconvenient and cumbersome (too many steps). Whatever happened to the simplicity of the Apple products?? Apple engineers and designers are loosing focus of their customers... Revert the Night Mode operation back to what it used to be PLEASE!!!!

I’ve found a bit of a workaround:

First, turn off Night Mode on your preferred watch face (as I imagine you already have). Now, add another Wayfinder face, with Night Mode set to On, and move that face next to your preferred face in your list of faces. Then simply swipe to the ‘Night Mode On’ face when you need it.

I know, it would be much better if they figured out a way to bring back the original method, but in the meantime, this isn’t a bad solution.

You can disable it from watch app on your iphone by selecting the watch face you have in "My faces" to edit it, swipe down you will find "Night mode" probably on Auto, select off and it will disable it. You can do the same from your apple watch by long pressing the watch face, pressing edit, swipe right or left till you reach night mode, then select off to disable it.

Incredibly dumb of apple OS team to turn off the ability to manually change watch ultra color/night mode using the crown. It was the most used feature for me as I had to do this many times when watch gets very distracting.

any way to go back to older OS? I am going to stop using this watch otherwise

Totally agree with the comments on lack of usability now Wayfarer has been turned to auto night mode or you literally have to go in and edit the face. Apple’s idea of low light and mine are not the same - the red only works if you’re properly in darkness and eyes adjusted - great for overnight but useless whilst awake. Incredibly annoying to take it off crown control.
