Disable Night Mode in watchOS 10

Incredibly dumb of apple OS team to turn off the ability to manually change watch ultra color/night mode using the crown. It was the most used feature for me as I had to do this many times when watch gets very distracting.

any way to go back to older OS? I am going to stop using this watch otherwise

Not having Night Mode controlled by the bezel is a major inconvenience. I use this watch while I am doing both visual and astrophotography at night and the convenient bezel controlled Night Mode was one of the primary reasons I bought this watch. Having to go to my phone to activate it and then back to the phone to disable it is way too inconvenient and cumbersome (too many steps). Whatever happened to the simplicity of the Apple products?? Apple engineers and designers are loosing focus of their customers... Revert the Night Mode operation back to what it used to be PLEASE!!!!

I couldn’t agree more, @osprey912, but the only way they’re gonna go back to the old way is if enough of us post feedback at the link I shared above. Long-time users of these forums will tell you that it’s highly unlikely that anyone from Apple reads these posts (or has the power to forward them up the chain of command anyway).

Although not all of our issues have been addressed in the 10.2 update, there is evidence that Apple is listening and reacting. Obviously they are in a slight rabbit hole with the swapping of button functions, but I can now arrange apps to my liking in grid view which helps.

Apple does seem a little obsessed with the quick view thing (accessible by more than one route) which is a shame as they do not allow all apps to be docked there.

but let’s keep the noise going and maybe they will also amend the silly night vision situation and also the watch face switching problem.

Hi. I fully understand your concern regarding taking pics at night when the phone always lit. I suggest you turn on the Cinema Mode. Thus, the phone stays always dark and lits up only when you double tap it. Hope it helps.

I do not find any way to control, turn on turn off the night mode on my ultra two.. either I don't know what I'm doing, or your information absolutely does not apply. By following your instructions there is no functionality to be able to turn off the night mode

Sleep mode is a focus mode. If you want to turn it off early, enter control center on either your Watch or iPhone and tap to turn off your focus mode.

Another one that I always needed is find my phone from the watch! Now I need to go a long way from find devices!! Why is this? So many steps to tap instead of one. 😡 This is not an improvement!
