Hi I updated to iOS 17 yesterday and my wallpapers are getting blurred on the top, my wallpapers from the top seem to be fine yet but I found beautiful new wallpapers and it’s ruined because of the top blur. My phone is an iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Figured out how to fix it on my IPhone 11. Go to settings, then Wallpaper, then do New Wallpaper…it lets you pick a photo for the wallpaper…then you can click over on the Home Screen and change it if you want. But at the very bottom right hand corner you should see a raindrop looking image that says “blur”. If you click that it removes the blur from the image.
This doesn't fix it.
I download wallpapers already at the proper size for my iPhone 14 and I still get this stupid blurring, it completely ruins the aesthetic of the wallpaper. Why isn't crap like this optional?
I took a photo under the Eiffel Tower but it blurred the tower, its the best part of photo. The wallpaper remain people and people and peoples. I go and asked Genius in genius bar in apple store but they become idiot after they saw my photos. The one and only one thing genius can do is give me a feedback link ask me to ask their company to improve their product.... This link I tried several times before in others problem but definitely useless, no reply, no improve, no help.

This new blurry at the top of the photo is ridiculous the whole wallpaper update is unhelpful! It was so much easier before to change it. Please change it back! I have had it with apple and unnecessary updates.

why couldnt they just make the informations to adapt to the color of the background automatically, like the time would be in different shades od the color you want to be seen better
i'm not sayin it is a bug but there could be an option for users to change the blurrz thingy
Perhaps Apple will offer such a choice if enough people tell them that's what they want. They certainly aren't doing that by posting here on this user to user only forum.
