Someone else noticing substantially worse battery life on WatchOS 10? In my case about 50% worse imo.

The battery life on my Apple Watch since upgrading to WatchOS 10 is horrendous. I’ve had my series 7 watch for about 17 months now. Prior to WatchOS 10, I could take my watch off the charger in the morning and still have 1/4 charge when heading to bed around 12 - 1 am.
I’ve done everything I can think of to improve battery life since upgrading to WatchOS10:
1) Power-cycled my watch (after the update) when I realized the battery life had decreased by approx 50%.
2) Regularly close apps not in use. (Double click the Digital Crown).
3) Reduce the number of apps that run/update in the background.
Still, I can’t get 5 hours without needing to charge my watch.
This needs addressed immediately.
Most of the time battery drain after an update is caused by third party apps being untested by the developers in the updated iOS
No software can do that. Your Watch has a serious hardware failure.
If its hardware then why battery drain after we all did the software update? Saying it hardware makes no logical sense in this case.
Wrong. Unpaired and paired it again. Fixed the issue. The problem was the upgrade. Apple support agreed that this was an issue.
Had the same issue. Apple wanted me to go to retail store or mail it in. I unpaired and paired again, fixed the problem
I’ll give that a shot. Seems silly that you need to do something like that though.
I didn’t think it would work but it did

Standard troubleshooting may seem silly simetimes but rarely is.
Ended up resetting my watch completely, deleting every single convenience app, and just leaving it as a basic stock watch and it’s back to the battery life I had before the update.
My point exactly.
Third party apps are not always as convenient if the developers don’t update them in good time.
Mobyface (whatever that is) gets a bad name in this regard
same. over a week now. it lasts until about noon and then kaput. time to retire the apple watch i think .
Seems apple have taken note, an update has flashed up on my watch aiming to fix battery drain
Me too
Doing much better today after removing widgets that came up after update. I charged the watch (7) around 7pm last night and am at 55% at around 1:30 today.
