After latest update IOS 17, iphone 13 mini wont get anymore sound notifications. Calls are normal.

Go to settings, go to notifications, go to Messages. Now make sure you have one of these selected. Mine was grey and didn’t have one selected. When I chose Notification Center my sound came back! 😎✌🏼
My texts (in "messages") aren't alerting since updated to 17, and now 17.0.1. I have it on the Note (default) sound.
i have the same problem also with instagram and X , no notification sounds, i have an iphone SE (3rd)
Brand new iPhone 15. Sounds work when phone is UNLOCKED. Sounds do NOT work when phone is LOCKED. Running 17.0.2.
Why must one choose from these three options? All three of them are quite disruptive. Why not simply emit a sound, just like iOS 16?
It seems to be on almost all my apps. I’m missing so many notifications and it includes my security cameras. This is really bad!

Yes. I just have “Banners” selected and turned off focus.
Now I’m not getting notifications or sound alerts. Don’t do the 17.0.2 update!!!
Everyone just keep contacting Apple and sending feedback. I don’t know of anyone happy with this iOS 17 update.
It’s not only with the iPhone 13 even my phone which is iPhone 12. I am facing the same issue. This is not a device issue. It is a software issue.
Anyone know if there’s a 17.0.3 coming to fix all this? …. An iOS update that stops notification sounds, really wtf
What about your regular iMessages?
I’m not sure. I texted with Apple support. Try that. My other apps won’t show notifications with banners on either.
