After latest update IOS 17, iphone 13 mini wont get anymore sound notifications. Calls are normal.

After iOS 17.2.1 the whole notifications cocktail involving the iPhone and Apple Watch is a complete disaster, utter shambles. I receive an SMS yet I get NO notification sound AT ALL on either the phone or the watch and no visible indication that I have received an SMS either, nothing, I literally have no idea I have received a message unless I open the app! Nothing on the watch and nothing / no badge on the phone. Yet I can open up Messages on the watch or the phone and can see them all sat there, unread. What's the point of having these insanely expensive devices if they can't even perform the most basic phone functions? This will be the last Apple purchase for me. Sure Android has its problems but Apple is total shambles at the moment! I get the feeling Apple is trying to be way more clever than it actually is, trying to link and mirror too many things and when the wheel comes off it comes off big time, and takes way to long to put back on!!!
Reps that don’t care. EXACTLY!! You try to explain to them and you can hear the tone in their voice that they don’t care.
Clearly they didn’t test this big problem with a main function of the phone before they sent out the new update. They get paid the bucks from us buying Apple products. Patience is out of the window.
It was really frustrating for me in WhatsApp and for the other apps, but after resetting the Network Setting, all resolved. Do a try.
Sure you do. The message for the people don't. By the way, all may use different iPhones, but for me it was 14 Pro Max.

Same. What I have found is that if my screen is on I get the sound notification but if my screen is off I do not.
Is it still working today? I notice that if my screen is on, I get the text notification but if it is not I get nothing.
Mine won’t give a notification sound whether the screen is on or off. Apple’s solution was for me to make sure my phone isn’t on “silent.” Really useless suggestions/resolutions.

So much for Apple wanting to make sure our privacy is one of the number 1 things but now you’re forced to choose an option that completely goes against that is absurd.
I am also using the tones and alerts that come with the phone and still no notifications sounds.
I’ve only ever used the tones that come on the phone. The only resolution I go was “you can’t get a phone call from a superior.” I passed as I know it won’t result in anything useful.

Nah …restart isn’t going to fix our issues …we’ve tried everything …it’s an software issue
