I upgraded to iOS17 last night and now when i open the wallet app on my phone it says "Apple Pay requires an update on this iPhone". This morning when i opened the wallet app for the first time i got email alerts from my credit cards saying my cards have been removed from Apple Pay.
Things i have tried:
Re-installing the wallet app
Wiping and restoring
Wow!
I also opened a case with Apple Support.
They ran diagnostics as well and confirmed it was a software issue for mine.
Since yesterday they have provided a new iOS 17 update overnight to fix the issue.
I can now successfully add by card back on my wallet.
I have not yet checked to see if it works whilst shopping.
$500 is nuts, im not even going to waste my time going in.
mine also happened the same day I upgraded to 17.0.3
Brand new, less than a week old iPhone 15 pro max… 17.0.3 broke Apple Pay…. Hope this gets resolved… I’m not paying $500 on a 5 day old phone…
I am surprised you have to pay for iPhone 15. It should be under warranty or first 90 days coverage.

My apple wallet won’t even open for me to see anything. Do we know if another update is being pushed out to fix this issue? I used my apple wallet frequently.
Have the same issue, I try to add my debit card to wallet and it just don't allow me, what a failer.
How did they do it? I guees they used a different method than Apple wallet

Also my phone is now freezing on various screens randomly. I checked for another update manually and it never loaded. Hopefully apple will push out an update to fix all this soon.
