I upgraded to iOS17 last night and now when i open the wallet app on my phone it says "Apple Pay requires an update on this iPhone". This morning when i opened the wallet app for the first time i got email alerts from my credit cards saying my cards have been removed from Apple Pay.
Things i have tried:
Re-installing the wallet app
Wiping and restoring
Cannot use wallet after 17.1.1 upgrade
The update to 17.0.1 seemed to cause the problem for me. My Apple Pay worked fine after the 17 upgrade. Using a 13 Pro.
This is what happened with me. They said the logic board needed to be replaced which is $500 or so. It was cheaper for me to upgrade to the new phone than repair my 13 Pro
$500 is nuts, im not even going to waste my time going in.
mine also happened the same day I upgraded to 17.0.3
I am surprised you have to pay for iPhone 15. It should be under warranty or first 90 days coverage.
just sign out fron your apple id and sign in again.It works for me.
Just sign out from your Apple id and sign in again,restart your phone,it works,trust me.

Also my phone is now freezing on various screens randomly. I checked for another update manually and it never loaded. Hopefully apple will push out an update to fix all this soon.
My problem was having a VPN. Removing it fixed the problem immediately. Was able to add the VPN back after Apple Pay was fixed too.
This worked for me on iphone 13mini 2 years old
Mine too. Add my voice to yours.
It did get fixed my husband turned his phone off then on and apple wallet fixed and was working again
