Can't swipe left for other Apple Watch faces on watchOS 10

Since the lastest upgrade to watchOS 10, I am no longer able to swap left or right to see other watch faces. I tried restarting and unpairing my watch and it doesn’t work still. I have the first gen SE applewatch.

Apple has changed the method because too many users were getting accidental swipes changing their watch face. The new method is to Long Press the watch face, so it pops up the option to Edit. Don't pick edit, simply swipe left to right as before.

Having spent a lot of my career teaching adults how to do things, I know that 1) you can't learn very well when you're upset and 2) stress is bad for you.

Idris, I have fedback to Apple already

Tell me you don't use your Apple watch other than to check the time without really telling me... I've used this dock app feature as many others have for years and all of a sudden they take it away, not only the feature but they also repurposed the button for something that's entirely useless and you could simply do by swiping up previously.

If I can't whinge on an Apple discussion platform then where else?!

Actually, I rarely use my watch for telling time. Why is it people assume that, if someone doesn't agree with them, they are somehow not using the device properly? Is it so hard to believe that not everyone uses such a flexible device differently than you do?

I really like the favorites display in the original Watch OS. I used it a lot and was sad when it was removed but, I adapted. I didn't spend time judging people who didn't use it and didn't care.

Did I say you couldn't? I just said that getting this upset over this is not productive.

Ok so put it this way, would you be happy if Apple removed the quick access (swipe right) on the iphone or the folder features, so that instead of using shortcuts that you love and trust you suddenly need to scroll through all your screens and apps to find a single app? No you wouldn't. That's exactly what they've done with this Apple watch update. It's just ludicrous that someone up their hierarchy signed this off as being a good idea, do you not think? They've gone backwards with this and many people agree.

And so yes I get a bit upset (not throwing my toys out yet) because a tech giant like Apple should know better.

As I generally access apps through the search screen and I haven't used folders since the App Library was added, that particular change wouldn't affect me vary much. However, I've used Apple products since the early eighties. Over that time, Apple has removed many features I liked a lot. And they will continue to do so. They will also add features I like. I have made the choice not to get too upset about it. It makes my life easier.

They've gone backwards with this and many people agree.

Apple has access to enormous amounts of user data. They know how often people use features like the dock. They know how many people complain about things. So, my guess is that far fewer people used the dock than you might think. I understand that doesn't change how people who like it feel. So yes, Apple does know better how people use their products.

I can’t believe this isn’t an option any longer. Just got new watch and this ios upgrade has instantaneously degraded the watch for me. I agree with many here, I used different faces (with different complications) at different times of the day ie: in different situations. This is a swing and a BIG miss. Shockingly disappointed. Please bring this back!
