Memojis disappeared after iOS 17 upgrade

iOS took all my stickers and all my avatars. Why? When I hit the + or swipe the emojis to the right, it tells me that I can use my stickers and avatars, but it gives me no way to access them or re-create them.

Found the right one … EmojiMe. Not as happy a discovery as I anticipated. A permission box popped up requesting full access which could include your address, credit card number, or whatever else you may have typed in the past. Nope! Really not a fan of this developer now (similar to Bitmoji), even though the mages are Much better than Memoji. Anyone know a reliable way around this? If not, sayonara EmojiMe. 👋🏼

Maybe a lot depends on the model iphone you have. I don’t have the latest ( SE second generation) I have really liked it. It meets my needs. It takes great pictures and videos and does everything I need. I am retired so I don’t want to pay thousands for the latest phone. Was this latest glitch planned obsolescence?

The weird thing is that my Memoji appears on my Apple Watch, I just can’t do anything with it. It just appears.

I found where memoji’s are in iOS 17. In your messages there is a + next to the space where you begin to type your message. Touch the + and choose more. You will see several options and Memoji is one. Click on Memoji and there it is. All my memoji’s were still there saved.

I really think this problem varies with the model. But, if you open a new message and have a plus sign to the left of the subject window, hit that and press the stickers option. It may be buried in there. Scroll across the options below the subject/message box.

Did you read the previous texts? It may vary by iPhone model but I was able to find mine on my old SE second generation.

I opened the message app. To the left of the dialogue box there is a (+) sign. Hit it and scroll to stickers. At the box is a horizontal line of options. If you scroll across, you should see the emoji symbol. When you click it, it should bring them up. Hope this helps.

If not an IOS issue then what? I realize that there need to be updates but I always brace myself for each one, as something always ends up out of place/hidden, and you don’t find out until you go to use your device and have to figure it out.

Wait a minute … all this time I’ve been mourning the loss of my favorite emoji app and it turns out it’s NOT EmojiMe or Memoji — I have both of those. It’s something else & I can’t remember the name of it. FAR superior to EmojiMe, though. Disappeared with iIS 17 upgrade.

Does anyone know the one I’m talking about??

what planet do Apple developers live on? They did the same thing in watchOS10 and changed a perfectly fine button function now open a control center that nobody uses, at the expense of my most frequently used apps!

I have read through all replies and I have the same issue as the first post. I have version 17.0.3 and still my Memojis are not there. They are not with the + in apps nor when I click on more nor where they used to be next to my frequently used. Anyone know how to get them back?

When you go to type the text, you will find the emoji tab from the left-bottom corner. When you find it and tap it, you will be shown a heading like sticker. When you click Show Stickers, you will find your old memojis

I was able to locate the app in the App Store, however, it did not allow me to download to my iPhone 14. It advise me to download it to the iWatch. But once i did it did not do anything else. I need my memoji Apple. Please fix this bug.

I am updated to ios17.0.3 and my icon drawer is still missing. I do not understand how to use the NEW icon list in messages. I wanted to send a talking Memjoi but don't understand how to send now. It is much to difficult!!!! I want my icon drawer back!!!
