Memojis disappeared after iOS 17 upgrade

I FINALLY GOT THEM BACK!!! I slid the sticker row to the right. Touched everything an nothing until I got to the right one.

Don’t know what you call it but if you have trouble getting them click each one and you will eventually get the right one.

Why it’s done like this beats me!!

If you went to Messages, tapped the "+" next to the input box, tapped on Stickers and you have nothing, something else is going on with your phone. Apple did not remove the Memoji. In fact, you can't even turn them off in Settings>Messages>iMessage Apps.

The first thing I'd do is back up your phone and restore it from your back up.

For people saying, “Errhmmm… just read the feed people like omg…” Lots of people have I tried what’s being suggested in the feed, obviously.

Anyways, after trying the suggestions, the only thing that actually fixed it was restarting it a few times. Lol

Power off your phone, count to 30 and turn it back on

I did finally "find" my Memoji stickers, but instead of being easily combined with my emojis on the keyboard, I have to touch +, then Stickers, et voilà, there they are. Definitely more clunky!!!

1. The emojis/stickers are still there in Messages. It does appear to look different. See the + sign on the lower left bottom side? Tap it. A menu appears with a long list and STICKERS is there. Select Stickers by touching it and all the emoji/stickers show up in a row! When you create your own stickers from photos, they will be under the row of emoji stickers.

I hope these are helpful for you! Again, your regular stickers should be available to you in messages, on the far left bottom corner. Look for the plus sign (+) and tap it to get to the menu. Select Stickers and they are in a row!

I Found them go to messages, I have a bunch of keyboards, so it Has to be the default English one. Anyway that one has your Memojis or a couple of them (Mine Says Recent) push on that bottom, right SUBDUED item Acorn, Bowl, Etc. it should be greyed out no color. if you did everything right, because all iPhones should be the same after you push that item, you’ll see a bunch of oval items above, but below the message box, scroll those oval items to the left mine was like around the middle, and when I pushed on it, it brought up all my emojis and some new ones klike 30 of them 55 to be exact I just counted not counting the 10. I have under recent when we all said, where are the Memojis at?

I updated to 17.1 as well and I couldn't find mine so I power cycled my phone and they seem to be there afterwards. I also ensured the keyboard settings were on and the iMessage option

Finally found it with help from above when I clicked on the sticker icon it was next to the smiley face icon. Thank you!

The Memoji are found by pressing the + button next to the text box, but it doesn’t save them when you come back to your messages. It wants you to create a new memoji every time

Tap the plus sign to the left of the empty text message area. Your emojis & Memojis should open up. It worked for me. Good luck!

They put out an update this morning and when installed it the bitmojis and other keyboards that I had were back where they were before and all my bitmojies were there under keyboards as there were in the past. *new update came early this am 12/2/23

Have you updated to 17.1.1 I don’t know why you don’t have this option

Choose “Stickers”

tap on the little icon of the “people” and choose your Memojis

When you go to type the text, you will find the emoji tab from the left-bottom corner. When you find it and tap it, you will be shown a heading like sticker. When you click Show Stickers, you will find your old memojis
