Safari freezing on iPhone 12 Pro Max after iOS 17 update

Ever since I upstaged to iOS 17, when I first launch Safari, the webpages for pre-existing tabs don’t come up quickly and sometimes they get stuck and never refresh. Sometimes when a page does open up, it doesn’t allow to scroll or click any links. When I open a new tab for a new webpage, it doesn’t go to said page immediately either. Meanwhile Chrome and Firefox are working without issue. The Safari issue is worse when I close it then relaunch it, as even the browse line gets stuck. Has anyone else had this issue? This is on an iPhone 12 Pro Max

I am currently getting this escalated through Apple support. Doubt if it will have any effect but I decided it was worth trying. The more of us who keep hassling them on this one the better.

Same issues on 15 Pro 17.0.3.

Arguably the most frustrating electronic experience I’ve had since dial-up days.*

I’m not exactly tech-savvy, so correct me if I’m wrong, but this issue seems relatively simple, fundamental, and inexcusable considering the technological sophistication of its cultural background, not to mention the billions of dollars backing it.

If the geopolitical and tech-industry leaders are genuinely concerned about the potential threats of A.I., couldn’t they just build Safari into all the bots as a failsafe?

Slow loading would be far better than my no loading!

Apple support sent me a huge list of things to do but why?

The problem is entirely with the software, nothing to do with our phones or how we use them.

Plesse can someone wake them up and get them to understand this, and fix it!

It has been a long, long time by now.
