Apple store prices?
Why can I not see what the price is for an app before clicking "Get"? I don't wnat to buy it if too expensive and if I click Get am I not buying it?

If the App has a Get button, it is free to download, thus no price.
It may have an associated subscription or in-app purchases which you can find listed in the Apps' details furter down the App's description page.
Apps that have a price to download will show the price directly instead of a "Get" button.
