iPhone lagging and slow after iOS 17 Update

My iPhone also stopped working after the new update . I have iPhone 11 From 2020, and now the mobile data and wifi is not connecting. I tried everything restarting, taking the sim out, went to the Apple Store 2 times for support , they run a bunch of test including a radio frequency test and it is not working. They just told me to buy a new phone

Me too! This has been driving me nuts!

My XR has always been fast before this update now it’s slow and glitches in apps and keyboard. Was gonna buy a new IPhone for a better camera but now I’m thinking about going back to Android. Please fix this stability issue!

This is how Apple gets you to upgrade to the next model of iPhone. They have already been sued for doing this in the past. Also this is my 2nd time posting this comment as Apple removed my comment the first time!

Current Update (lol) still not fixing any of my issues concerning extreme heat and battery consumption on phone/camera/messenger apps.

Also someone stated that this is solely a user-to-user site. This is not the case since Apple is for sure reading these comments, several were deleted as this one might well be. If this comment is deleted my next phone will be a Pixel.

iOS 17 is an embarrassment and don’t even get me started on the state of Siri- it’s like Apple want to annoy customers away to android. But just watch- Apple will release ‘SiriPro” and charge a subscription fee- you can still have the old Siri for free but they’ve purposely made it worse to tempt customers to pay for a better version once released…

Apple have lost sight of customers and staff in the pursuit of bigger and bigger profit margins. Their business tactics are inhumane and cause suffering to thousands of people in China and the Congo. They delay the roll-out of innovation for years so they can keep selling the same old tech year after year without paying innovation costs. Both their customers and staff loose out so they can keep taking more money out of the economy and putting it in their own hands. I’ve been an Apple customer since the age of 17 (I’m now 37) and have watched the company become more and more greedy and products become less and less reliable. Sneaky stuff like built in obsolescence and taking GB away from devices and forcing subscription based cloud services on customers.

A gross company that I’m ashamed to have been a loyal customer to for so long.

I so much regret I updated to ios 17.3.1.My phone 13 is lagging ,and suddenly shuttering which does not happen before.My battery is draining fast and my phone is heating😭😩.Its terrible😭

Apple should be sued for such evil practices! If an update can cause a performance decrease it should not be deployed for that phone. This company’s ONLY selling point is software quality and if they continue code this path this trillion dollar company will soon be bankrupt refunding every customer for this scam!

So Apple doesn’t like my comments about there products not working so they deleted my post…Well way to go Apple instead of fixing the problem we just sweep the problem under the rug. I wonder what Steve Jobs would do if he was still here.

I've been having the same exact issues since I upgraded to ios 17. One would think that all these months later, apple would have gotten to the bottom of the issue.

i cant help but be reminded of my very first iphone which became a very expensive brick for three weeks out of the month because unlimited was not unlimited.

I've purchased an iPhone SE 2022 for a really good price thinking to get rid of Android Auto lag...Guess what, iOS17 appeared and introduced audio stuttering and lag on this device..I'm thinking to sell it since there is no improvement, I tried every possible cable, carplay wireless ,but with no help, so the solution it's to go back to android cause it's perfectly fine :)

Switched to apple 12yrs ago because it was stable and smooth. Seriously considering switching back to android because it seems to me that with the 17.4 ios the slowdown is intentional. You guys remember when ios13? Or 14 came out, apple intentionally killed iphone 6 & 7s to force users to buy new phones? (they where actually caught red handed so it wouldn’t be the first time!)

Now all the yadda-yadda over the EU forcing apple to let other app markets, the huge fines for unjustified surcharges on the app store. So now apple is fear-mongering users on “security”

i’m sad to see how corporate greed is treating apple users as we were some fools 🤬🤯

My iPhone 13 is by far the worst phone I ever had. it’s CONSTANTLY lagging! I basically paid $1500 for a 2010 android, I honestly feel scammed in a way especially since apple is clearly seeing this issue that multiple people have but decide to not do anything because all they do is make another iphone every year. I hope yall get what you deserve for messing with people phones ones. Dumb asl

After reading this entire thread, ive come to the conclusion that there is a MAJOR bug in ios 17.

no issues at all

on my phone with previous ioss

and this lag thing seems to effect all phone models new and old.

come on apple... publish a fix or help us ALL downgrade to ios 16

no problems with my phone... until i upgraded to ios 17.

now... if this thing was running any slower, it would be running in reverse. Not only is the keyboard lagged, so is my gps. (Giving late instructions).

i hope it doesnt take another class action suite against apple to get them motivated to fix this.

id settle for a downgrade to 16

I did all the updates/ setting changes suggested in this thread and im hear to tell you... dont waste your time. They dont work.

the problem is buggy software from apple.
