Help please!
I am trying to download photos from my camera, I bought a USB-C to USB adaptor and when I connect my camera, it does not show up - it's like nothing is connected.
I have tried restarting, changing the port but nothing is happening! I actually bought and returned another adaptor but thought it was faulty, so went out and bought an Apple adaptor and still nothing!
I have a MacBook Pro 13. inch, M2.

Where exactly are you looking for it?
Also, make sure your camera is set to mass storage or transfer mode per its own instructions.
Try opening either the Photos App, or Image Capture.

Hey, thanks for your reply. I'm looking for my camera in the Finder menu for something to indicate an external drive is connected. But there seems to be nothing that shows I've connected to anything external.
Having the same problem. Displays error that it cannot connect to camera. The error is also covered on other forums as well. In addition, the error didn't occur until Sonoma OS using Nikon Webcam Utility 1.1.0.

Your complaint does not match the title of this thread, a dead give-away that you did not post in the right place.
To get the attention your issues deserve, please start a new discussion, and give it a distinctive title to attract readers who might have knowledge on this subject, such as
"using Nikon Webcam Utility 1.1.0. not working under Sonoma"
Our Nikon and Canon cameras have proprietary cables included with each.
Yup - you were right, I hadn't thought to check the actual Photos app... duhhhhh
