Referring to a Drop Down Menu Referencing Tables question

Hi, I started this thread here: Missed Chance to Reply on my Old Thread but yet again, this time due too other more pressing issues with charting I never got to configure the drop down/tables as per the explanation by Badunit.

I've set up Table 1 and 2 as per the example with Drop Downs. Is it possible to explain the G2 offset part though?:

"G2 =OFFSET($A,0,Table 2::A$3)

fill down and right" -- I didn't get the "fill down and right" bit?

I can't quite make the link between the Drop Down and it altering anything on my chart (by selecting other Data columns) other than the chart title, which it dews change...? I'm not sure why changing the data in the Drop Down in A2 in Table 3 is going to reference the Table 4 data? How am I selecting/ setting up the charts because when I did the equivalent of: "Select columns G-I in Table 1. Make a scatter chart (not a line chart)"

it just drew a chart of the columns selected as per my "Asset Price" chart in this screenshot:

Also the solution I also get is "0" for A3 in Table 3 not "1" as per the example (Col A from my Table 4)?

MATCH(A2, Table 4::$1:$1,0)−1

Any help much appreciated,

Cheers
