Been trying to set up my iPhone 15 and went through instructions. Stuck on the 'Sign in with your iCloud Apple ID. Now it's got spinning icon with no info. I have a lot of DATA on my iPhone 13 pro max - is this the reason? been nearly 2 hours so far....

Well it’s now April 2024 and I’m having the same issue. I was thinking maybe it might be because I have so much data. Glad I checked here after 3 hours at 2nd attempt.
13PM to 15 PM. No help from pushing buttons. 13 PM is updated. I attempted to update 15, not sure if it took. I guess it’s time to pull out the MacBook.

I got mine synchronised by plugging it into my Mac in the end. I’ve been downloading the many apps not transferred ever since. Maybe try this approach…
Mine got stuck on "Signing you in". I ended up restarting the 15 and then it went fine after that.

It is becoming super frustrating, bur seing your comments here gives me a little hope.
Too late, my problem was solved by updating my IPhone 12 pro max to IOS 17 and then restarting the transfer process.
Same issue here. My 15Pro Max is stuck for almost 4 hours. I have iOS 17 on my 14 pro Max. Ridiculous!
