iPhone 15 Pro not charging

My issue turned out to be a small black piece of plastic was stuck in the charging port! Geek guy found it, removed it, and now it works perfectly!

I tried a couple of different wall chargers. It didn't start to work until I was using at least a 20 Watt charger (like the Apple brick that came with the phone)...

the solutions was to get a new cable from the apple store. case closed team.

My 15 Pro Max did charge to 65% a couple of times before it stopped. I did a forced restart several times on my iPhone, but it still wouldn’t charge. I finally changed my battery charging optimization to none. Bingo - I have no problem charging now. FYI - I am using an Anker 20W USB C power strip with my Apple MagSafe, but it does not charge my iPhone and iPad at the same time, which isn’t really a problem for me.

So we know your phone is capable of charging wirelessly and plugged into your MacBook Pro. We know you're using the Apple Cable. What we don't know is what charging plug you're using and what is its power output? We have a new 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. I really only use MagSafe charging, but to test, I plugged both iPhones into a 20w Anker Nano USB C charging plug and both charged just fine.

What is the power output of the charging plug you're using? It just may not output enough power to charge a new iPhone 15 Pro.

You're correct, if when you take the phone off its charger, it's at 65%, that isn't the way it should work. It's a new phone. If you're in the US, call Apple at: 800-MY-APPLE and ask them for guidance.

I had the same problem. But my 15 pro was charging perfectly fine the first week with my 65w Samsung brick then the iPhone just decided it wasn’t going to charge. I switched it to an Apple cable and brick and still did not charge. Then the thing that fixed it was restarting the phone (I also kept the Apple cable and brick to charge it, and now the Samsung charging block doesn’t work to charge my phone) but it’s charging perfectly fine now

My 15 Pro Max just did the same thing. I was using the Samsung fast charger type c base "black" and a type c to c USB from 5 below. Well low and behold I turned off battery optimization charging and clean energy charging restarted the phone walaaaa it's charging hopefully you found a solution.

Tried restarting by clicking power up, power down and then holding just power button and restarting the phone and the issue is fixed. But it doesn’t make sense why it won’t charge with no reason

At least for me, restarting doesn’t fix anything. Not on my iPhone or iPad. So far using an Anker charger seems to work, but the apple chargers don’t.

I bought a 15w charging brick and fixed the whole issue.

2 month old Iphone 15 didn’t want to charged, I just did the hard reset by holding down the power button. Turned back on and turned off battery optimization. This resolved the issue.

So far, the only wire that charges my wife’s brand new out of the box iPhone 15pro is my wife’s MacBook charger. Other wires show the lightning bolt, phone says it is charging, but it doesn’t charge a single percent using anything else.

Just buy a new charger wire the ones that came from the factory don’t work my girlfriend, my mother, and myself have the new iPhone 15 and none of the wires from the factory work it would act like it was being plugged and unplugged
