iPhone 15 Pro not charging

I just had same issue. The phone charged wirelessly but not with the cable. Restarted the phone and it works with the cable now.

Powering the phone off and on seems to have fixed the issue for me (for now).

I had the same problem initially and posted about it… I have been able to charge on my MagSafe charger. That first night plugging it in with an Apple, USB-C adapter and the USB-C cord that came with the phone, when I plugged it in it would not indicate charging at all. I let it set for 15 minutes and eventually it did indicate that it was charging. So maybe it just takes a few minutes to show that it’s charging?

USB A works but NOT USB C.

USB C works with older phones such as XR and 12 using USB C to Lightning but not USB C to USB C on iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.

If this is the Anker model you have https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LH26PFT?th=1, you'll unfortunately need to use the USB A port on the portable charger to charge your iPhone 15 Pro. The USB C port is for charging the battery pack AND for charging other devices, but there appears to be some conflict between the 15's ability to reverse charge and the charger not being able to communicate that it wants to provide power.

This issue is really bad - the charging cable will NOT fit into the brand new iPhone 15 Pro! My wife bought the same model at the same time and cables etc work fine on hers! Taking this defect back to Bestbuy!

It seems that the charging issue is happening to me too sometimes. I use a power meter to check the wattage and noticed that at times my phone will not charge due to incorrect wattage delivery, and I'll require to restart the phone. Might just be an OS issue that Apple needs to fix?

**Additionally, I also noticed that the fast charge goes up to 25-27~ watts on my reader.

I found that mind didn’t charge in the charger either but I got it to work by turning it on it’s side in landscape position and it now charges fine. I wonder if the battery is in a different place in the phone?

It happened to me last week with an ANKER 3-1 charger and I figured you have to use the cable AND charger that come together in the box, and plug it directly into the outlet to be able to charge the iPhone. Iwatch requires less juice to charge so will work using any setting. It solved the problem to me. Good luck everyone.

Are you using the cable which came in the box with your new iPhone and if you are, what charging plug are you using?

So I have done some trials and found out that the phone is thermal throttling and won’t accept a charge if it gets too warm.

Restart it, works fine. Don’t forget the things nothing but a computer, restart it…make it happy.
