Read aloud featrure on work for my Macbook

My read aloud for microsoft Word was working and it suddently quit workingl. I need this feature to for my college essays. I have uninstalled Microsoft Office and reinstalled it, but nothing has helped. Can I uninstall updates to get it to work again? I really need that feature when writing college essays. Please Help!

I think you would be better off asking Microsoft, or posting your question in a Microsoft product support forum.

macOS already includes text to speech: Hear your Mac read documents - Apple Support, but Microsoft has always preferred their own unique way of doing things.
