iPhone does not ring with incoming calls after updating to iOS 17
I am continuing to have issues with my phone not ringing when a call comes in. Ever had this issue until upgrading to IOS 17. I think it has ruined my phone.

FIRST: Are there missed calls in Phone/Recents on the phone? If they are not the problem is in the network, because the calls aren’t getting to your phone. Contact your carrier:
If they are in Recents here’s what to check:
I had the same issue with my 14 with 17.2.1
Turning on and then off phone / silence unknown callers, and then rebooting resolved it.
This worked for me.
go to settings - screen time - communication limits - during screen time - everyone
during downtime - everyone.

Check the Focus mode. This was an issue I had and then disabled/changed them and here we are.
I was having the same issue. Check wi-if calling and turn it off if it’s on. Restart your phone then check to make sure it is still off. Then have someone call you.
One thing I have also tried is checking the silence unknown callers setting in phone menu. Try to toggle it on and off. Just might work for you. Hope you get everything figured out and snowflakes become the least of Apples worries
I did a full reset of my phone and it has helped. Give it a try and see if it helps you. I cross my fingers and pray everyday that I will not miss an important call because Apple does not seem to want to do anything that actually makes the phone work as it should
Please check your ringer on your device, it’s solved my problem
I did everything on this list. And to no avail. What I did notice is that the phone would ring when an unknown number called me. Which was weird because in settings the "Silence Unknown Callers" was off. So I went into settings changed that to "on" and then boom, the phone calls started to come through. I can't silence unknown calls though. I get important calls from unknown numbers. I'll keep playing around with it until I can get it to work.
I deleted any other phone profiles off my other Apple devices. My iPad still had my iPhone 12 as a device, once I deleted that from the iPad my new phone rings and I get my text messages…not saying it’s the solution, but it worked for me.
I would also suggest that you turn on the Always on feature, if you put your phone on silent.🤷🏻♀️
Did the same ie full erase content and data followed by setting up my new iphone from scratch. The tech at Genius Bar did check of hardware / software and audio checks and all came up OK. Had tried all the previous other tips as well.
Phone rings more often now but do still get no tones sometimes. Less of a problem than before.
Karen, I tried one thing that so far seems to be helping. I did a full reset on my phone and it seems to be better. I have my fingers crossed and saying prayers that the phone continues to work.
iPhone, not ringing after update with unknown callers
Solution: settings, phone, scroll down to unknown callers
Go into setting in the search bar search for call under that I’ll say silence calls
The update probably changed a setting, so the solution is to review the settings. It is NOT a universal problem; there are hundreds of millions of iPhones that have updated, and only a few of those have a problem, so it isn’t a problem with the update in general; it is something specific to those few phones.
