Unknown Part Unable to determine if your iPhone camera is a genuine Apple part.

I own a iPhone 13 pro, nerve get any repair but one day i received a notification about my camera "Unknown Part

Unable to determine if your iPhone camera is a genuine Apple part. This could be because the part is non-genuine or not functioning as expected, or the installation is incomplete." Can anyone please help and I also wanted to say that Apple is just playing with our money. Apple don't care about any of these issues

Same thing is happening to me and not only with the camera but battery and display too , the phone is NEW it has never been repaired.

If you are seeing that and you've never had anything replaced, it would indicate a hardware issue. You should contact Apple and have them run diagnostics.

I can’t see the battery health and that’s important to know.

No, really it's not. Maximum capacity tells you nothing actionable. The only times you need to look at it are if your phone isn't running correctly or if you're near the end of your warranty. In your case, you already know there is a problem with your phone. And, if the phone is new, it's still under warranty.

The update caused thousands of apples users to experience camera failure/issues. Apples resolution to this is to pay to fix the camera that their software update broke or buy a new IPhone. Ive done every possible troubleshooting step 4 times over and its still broken. Factory restarted my phone didn’t do jack. Sadly there is no resolution for this issue at this time🤷🏻‍♂️😡

Cop out? You mean he just gave facts and clarifying information because, as you can read with many of these replies, people are assuming the message means they had non-Apple repairs. He’s telling them how to look at their phone settings for signs of repairs and quoting the message also can mean a non-repair hardware failure.

I find your answer pretty good. Yes, this happened to me as well. Yesterday I woke up to a NOT WORKING CAMERA. I can only take photos on 3x and the 0.5 just disappear from the screen like it never existed ... contacted support ASAP and they want me to pay $679 for fix the problem... (?) i find their solution CRAZY since its seems to be a software problem (their side)... i just want to drive +4 hr to an apple store made them OPEN my device and SHOW ME WHERE THE F is the UKNOWN PART just to be clear. Im so mad, it was whortless to take care of my phone so much if this message messed it up at the end. THIS IS MY LAST IPHONE FOR SURE.

The problem is that Apple doesn't take the phone with this problem in a trade in. I never replaced any part or never had my phone repaired except this problem, where my camera says unknown part. Because of this issue, apple trade in team revised my iPhone 12 Pro Max price from $450 to zero. So, basically we can keep using this phone without any issues but Apple thinks it's a third party camera and make it basically zero worth. At this point I fee like it's a customer service issue in my opinion. It's clearly been reported by many customers that they have not replaced their camera, yet Apple doesn't seem to repair this or fix the problem free of charge. What's more bad customer service is that they reject the trade in.
