Unknown Part Unable to determine if your iPhone camera is a genuine Apple part.

I own a iPhone 13 pro, nerve get any repair but one day i received a notification about my camera "Unknown Part

Unable to determine if your iPhone camera is a genuine Apple part. This could be because the part is non-genuine or not functioning as expected, or the installation is incomplete." Can anyone please help and I also wanted to say that Apple is just playing with our money. Apple don't care about any of these issues

Same thing is happening to me and not only with the camera but battery and display too , the phone is NEW it has never been repaired.

If you are seeing that and you've never had anything replaced, it would indicate a hardware issue. You should contact Apple and have them run diagnostics.

I can’t see the battery health and that’s important to know.

No, really it's not. Maximum capacity tells you nothing actionable. The only times you need to look at it are if your phone isn't running correctly or if you're near the end of your warranty. In your case, you already know there is a problem with your phone. And, if the phone is new, it's still under warranty.

They will never admit it’s their problem and make us pay the repair charges even though it’s not our fault. Their trade in partners rejected my trade after sending it for this problem. I don’t have the Apple care anymore so I would have to take it to Genius Bar and get it repaired. This is bad from Apple that they don’t know it’s their part and no one replaced or repaired the camera. Apple genuine until it fails and Apple says oh no it’s not Apple genuine camera and we need to replace it with an Apple genuine part. So, was the camera not a genuine part in the first place or Apple sold an expensive iPhone with a cheap defective camera? Then they don’t trust all these customers who are genuinely expressing their frustration.

I’ve had my 13pro since Feb 2022 and till this day I still have that “unknown camera part” msg even after all updates since then. I tried to trade in my phone with not other damage or issues other than that and I can’t bc of it. How Apple get away with distributing products with faulty software is beyond me, a $1500 phone worth now nothing bc of that. Unbelievable.

This is exactly what happened to me when I sent my iPhone 12 promax for trade in. I already bought the new iPhone 15 for my wife as a gift and Apple third party trade in specialists sent an email saying my trade in now worth $0. The phone I paid $1500 is worth nothing now to apple. This is caused by Apple faulty software and they won't admit it. They keep saying it's hardware problem and it needs to be repaired. Well guess what caused it? It's your software Apple and we have to pay 200 or 300 for repairing it with a genuine camera part. what a joke on us customers.

Complete cop-out of an answer.

I've been a loyal iPhone user for over 10 years, and its answers like this that will get me to switch. A refusal to acknowledge a known issue caused by your own hardware or software destroys your credibility.

As you can see from many of your customers' posts, this error is appearing when no repairs or replacements have taken place.

Perhaps they found a way to boost their bad iphone sales again, like they did when they slowed down the iphones without telling anybody about it.

Funny thing. They really did tell people, albeit not as clearly as they could/should have. And, the reason they throttled phones with very old batteries was not to boost sales (or even battery sales). It was to keep the phones from turning off unexpectedly, leaving people without a phone at all, possibly when they really needed it.
