iOS17 broke FTP via hotspot

Hello guys,

On iOS16 (last update) I was able to connect to the FTP server on my Mac (13.5.2) when using the hotspot from the iPhone.

However, since I've updated to iOS17 (17.0.1), I cannot use the FTP server. I've tried using two different programs to access the FTP server and I can't. I've also tried it on the iPad (17.0.1) and doesn't work.

Everything is fine when using Wi-Fi and also fine when using mobile data on the iPhone, so the only thing that does not work is via the iPhone hotspot.

Is there any solution for this?

Many people have already written about this problem on the Internet in various forums. It is annoying that Apple has not reacted so far. I can't imagine that at least one employee hasn't already noticed this problem.

I'm curious what Apple Service will tell you. In Germany, they blame it on the mobile operator or refer to other solutions that don't work.

Apple does not want to fix the problem with update 17.0.2 either.

It is looking that Apple has been blocked ftp 21 with hotspot, the sftp is working

I dont undrestand why appale care if we sent images via hotspot to ftp

after all its away to sent files via mobile

and its not affected iphone

I can confirm 17.1 “Beta 2” works w both 2.4ghz and 5ghz on Nikon Z9 FTP

This has been known over 1 week that this will work 17.X*** but i have try to reply this over 10 times but apple del**** the comments because you can't talk here unreleased versions
