iPhone 15 Pro Max Wi-Fi Issues

I Hope apple or others can help me out - I’m having issues with WiFi on the IPhone 15 Pro Max

myself and others are having issues with using WiFi and 160hz - many have raised issues on Reddit posts - some cannot connect to there WiFi at all and others can connect like myself but have random issues with no internet from time to time

Mines working on 5GHz 160hz, but sometimes I’ll just have no internet connection (it’s still connected to the WiFi) - I have to disconnect from the WiFi and connect again for it to work.

I’m using ASUS RT-AX82U - 5GHz allowed Upto 160hz - I’m running 1gig internet so last thing I want to do is try running at 80hz as I’ll loose speed

When it does work it works great 😊

PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP APPLE

I've got a fix!!! This was frustrating me to no end. Went to Apple store and talked with one of the experienced techs. He said the issue is the iPhone when you import from an old iPhone imports non-ideal network settings, not just your old iPhone passwords. Fix is below.

Network -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset Network Settings

Wifi has been working like a charm since I did this. Read about this for hours and never saw this suggested anywhere else so figured I'd contribute.

I am using google mesh WiFi. Every single device except my iPhone 15 pro work. I tried resetting my phone and resetting my WiFi but no change. I also tried plugging in my old router and no luck.

Does anyone know if this can be fixed via software update or is this new one resolution?

I have my appointment on Monday with Apple. Might just return it and stick to my 13pro

Yeah, I already figured out that the phone simply has issues with some WiFi’s/routers. I’ve connected to some successfully and others have not worked. Unfortunately, the one I have at home doesn’t work. My WiFi works fine with my previous iPhone and all current devices I have connected to it though, e.g., MacBook Pro, Smart TVs, Apple TV, gaming consoles, other iPhones, HomePod speakers, etc.

I am sickened to read that the issue I have experienced just this afternoon after receiving my new iphone15 Pro Max regarding the phone dropping the internet every few minutes is a glitch within the phone's system. Unbelievable not just for the price, but because Apple is a tech company and should never have released it with this issue. Surely, they must have tested it...

That said, we have Comcast 5G and I have been trying for hours now to get the phone restored using my recent backup. The error message states the phone must be connected to the internet to continue the backup and that the restore is paused. It also show a message that says the restore will resume, once the phone is connected to the internet again. It is connected to the internet. I do have a call scheduled for tomorrow morning with Apple Support and it will be most interesting to learn their excuse for the problem.

In the meantime, I still have 6GB to download until my new phone is full operational. This is so frustrating and I am angry with Apple for letting this happen and not having fixed the bug already.

Yes, I too have been reaching out since the 23rd. I’ve stopped answer their phone calls… sick of giving them the same information conversation after conversation. I’ve been a huge supporter of Apple and I’m beginning to think it’s time to look for an alternative. It’s very sad to me … but if I am told one more time… we’re still collecting information, I’m going to scream. Obviously this is not a problem for a couple of people! It’s time to do something Apple!

My WIFI connection at home has been bullet-proof until now that I have a new iPhone 15 Pro Max. My WIFI 6 router is set to use 5GHz only. No issues whatsoever with any other device. I can be browsing the web just fine with my 16" M1 Max MBP or my old iPhone 7, but then when I grab my iPhone 15 Pro Max, it refuses to connect, even if I switch on Airplane mode and switch it off, or even if I disconnect WIFI and then reconnect! I am forced to REBOOT my 15 Pro Max to get it to work. But then when I stop using my iPhone or let it sleep for just a few minutes, when I try to get online again, it refuses to connect. I then must reboot the iPhone 15 Pro Max yet again. It is totally and utterly unacceptable!

Lucky you! That’s one of the first things I did and it did not resolve the issue. My home wifi remains unusable because my iPhone 15 Pro Max will not work with it. I’m actually done trying at this point, nothing I’ve done has solved the issue. I’ve come to the conclusion this is on Apple’s court, either a hardware issue or an iOS update needs to be released to fix it.

This is the same issue I’ve experienced but the other way around, my home WiFi doesn’t work but I’ve been able to connect to other WiFi’s outside of my home successfully, but not all. It’s a hit or miss, some it connects flawlessly while others it doesn’t. Unfortunately, the one I need and use the most which is the one I have at home doesn’t work with my iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Also having this issue on my brand new iPhone 15 Pro. My Wi-Fi worked fine at my seasonal location, but when back to my permanent home, Wi-Fi rarely works. If I turn Wi-Fi off/on (or airplane mode) I can usually load my email or a webpage but then it stops working again. I was so frustrated last night I turned off Wi-Fi on the device all together and have now used 50% of my data package. It is the only device having the issue and while I haven't tried all the suggestions here I think it is ridiculous that we even need to try these things. Very frustrating after dropping $1800+ on a new phone to feel like it is essentially a dead brick most of the time. Hoping a fix is coming soon - and regretting upgrading from my 13 pro now.

I just received my iPhone 15 Pro Max and I am experiencing the same issue. Over the last 24 hours, the phone is unable to sustain a Wi-Fi connection. Every few minutes it loses Wi-Fi and then regains the connection 5-10 minutes later for a minute or two before losing it again.

I just upgraded from my iPhone 11 Pro Max where I had no issues at all. This is very frustrating. As Apple identified this as an issue and are their plans to fix it? I have three other phones in my family that I planned to upgrade, but not now!

You are 100% correct, it is not a solution. If I had gone running to my local electronics store and purchased a new router on day one, I’m certain I wouldn’t be here talking about this issue right now. I refuse to buy a new router considering my existing router works just fine with everything else I have connected to it. In my opinion this is on Apple to fix not on me. I just hope it’s a fixable issue via iOS update. I did live through the iPhone 4 antenna fiasco so while unlikely, it’s possible it could be hardware related, but who knows.
