iPhone 15 Pro Max Wi-Fi Issues

I Hope apple or others can help me out - I’m having issues with WiFi on the IPhone 15 Pro Max

myself and others are having issues with using WiFi and 160hz - many have raised issues on Reddit posts - some cannot connect to there WiFi at all and others can connect like myself but have random issues with no internet from time to time

Mines working on 5GHz 160hz, but sometimes I’ll just have no internet connection (it’s still connected to the WiFi) - I have to disconnect from the WiFi and connect again for it to work.

I’m using ASUS RT-AX82U - 5GHz allowed Upto 160hz - I’m running 1gig internet so last thing I want to do is try running at 80hz as I’ll loose speed

When it does work it works great 😊

I've got a fix!!! This was frustrating me to no end. Went to Apple store and talked with one of the experienced techs. He said the issue is the iPhone when you import from an old iPhone imports non-ideal network settings, not just your old iPhone passwords. Fix is below.

Network -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset Network Settings

Wifi has been working like a charm since I did this. Read about this for hours and never saw this suggested anywhere else so figured I'd contribute.

Thank you so much! I noticed the vpn toggle being weird too and tried logging in then deleting Nord vpn. I’ve been looking for a fix for an hour and I finally have WiFi. Cheers.

Also Settings > Privacy & security > Location services > scroll to bottom System Services, toggle networking and wireless off

How I fixed this:

settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings

wifi worked after this

I was having same problem with my 15 Promax and tried what brettbhouse suggested and this has fixed my wifi issues so far, Thank-you very much for posting this.

I’m also having issues with WiFi! All iPhones in the house never go below 3 signal bars, especially the way the WiFi is setup in the house. It even disconnects. Absolutely annoying and I hope it’s not a design issue

160 MHz wide channels have higher noise floors and much narrower ranges - typically you need to be within eight to ten feet of your WAP at most and line of sight with no walls, plus susceptibility to interference is vastly increased.

The iPhone 14 Pro does not support 160 MHz wide channels.

I am also using an ASUS mesh router. My issue with seeing 5G WiFi network is about 3 months old. Was never an issue and is only an issue on iPhone 15 ProMax. All other devices in the house see the 5G WiFi just fine. Note I also have an issue seeing other 2G WiFi networks in the area when I am locked into my home 2G WiFi.

After reading through multiple posts and sites I tried disabling the 160 mhz option on the wifi router backbone SSID. This appears to have solved the issue.

Thank you to all who are posting what is working for them. Apple Tech support response was technology is complicated.
