iPhone 15 Pro Max Wi-Fi Issues

I Hope apple or others can help me out - I’m having issues with WiFi on the IPhone 15 Pro Max

myself and others are having issues with using WiFi and 160hz - many have raised issues on Reddit posts - some cannot connect to there WiFi at all and others can connect like myself but have random issues with no internet from time to time

Mines working on 5GHz 160hz, but sometimes I’ll just have no internet connection (it’s still connected to the WiFi) - I have to disconnect from the WiFi and connect again for it to work.

I’m using ASUS RT-AX82U - 5GHz allowed Upto 160hz - I’m running 1gig internet so last thing I want to do is try running at 80hz as I’ll loose speed

When it does work it works great 😊

I've got a fix!!! This was frustrating me to no end. Went to Apple store and talked with one of the experienced techs. He said the issue is the iPhone when you import from an old iPhone imports non-ideal network settings, not just your old iPhone passwords. Fix is below.

Network -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset Network Settings

Wifi has been working like a charm since I did this. Read about this for hours and never saw this suggested anywhere else so figured I'd contribute.

Seems to just be iPhone 15 pro and pro max using the new 6E hardware in the phone

It’s the IPhone 15 pro aswell, a family member suffered the exact same issue aswell with no internet connection once on the wifi

I have a Fritzbox 6660 Cable and also lost Wifi on 5Ghz. I use a 15 Pro.

I don’t even have a VPN and still doesn’t work. This seems to be the issue for some people but not all.

I was one the 1st i think apple worked with to collect logs, They advised me even if they detected a pattern they would not update or inform users when asked as they treat all the information as confidential information and dont confirm or deny speculation information either.

The senior I've been working with collecting logs informed me the engineering department wont pass on any information on when a fix will be out, They informed me to wait to the next major version - iOS 17.1 and then test everything again, if its still not fixed then i need to reach out to the senior ive been working with and they might collect even more logs or raise higher again.

IM just hoping they get this sorted ASAP as im sick of running off a different router thats slower than my normal one.

Kinda wish i kept my iphone 13 pro max as this worked perfectly, My wifes Iphone 13 pro also works fine

lucky for me i have setupo a 2nd router to act as an access point only and only broadcast 5ghz @ 20/40/80 - this is working, but at slower speeds and lower signal (as the router acting as the access point isnt the best)

I have also setup my main router to broadcast a 2.4ghz (20/40) guest ssid that i can also use for my iphone 15 pro max, which i do from time to time when i need signal to work further away.

End of the day this issue is relevant to the new hardware in the 15 pro and pro max, - all other devices in my house work fine, Even Wifi 6 adapters in my laptop

Apple just need to get a grip and sort this issue big time

That’s not a solution, It’s just a plaster, no one should need to replace there router when all there other devices are working fine.

this is an apple issue and apple need to sort this with an update.

I've got to the stage now that I've asked apple to send me a returns label - then i have 14 days to make up my mind once the label arrives if I'm going to return the iPhone 15 pro max or keep it and live with the issue.

I've found a iPhone 14 pro max for sale locally for a good price so I'm going to get this and downgrade from the 15 pro max (not much of a downgrade) But I'm quite miffed off its had to go down this route

I don't expect phones to be bulletproof and not to have there gremlins from time to time, But when your paying £1200+ for a phone you expect it to work on basic functions such as Wi-Fi

Dam autocorrect, It has not fixed any of our issues doing this, a lot of us done this via log collecting with apple

Sorry, im unable to test anymore, I’ve returned the 15 pro max and have since purchased a 14 pro max to use instead
