When talking on the phone, no one can hear me when I use speaker phone after upgrading to IOS 17.0.1 Is anyone else having this issue?

I discovered that the volume control for speaker phone mode is independent of the regular iOS volume. This seems to be part of the 17.x update.
Make a call, set to speaker, and then adjust the volume up and it will all work fine.
This was driving me nuts as speakers worked all other apps except in the phone app.
None of those things worked. Its a faulty software update and Apple needs to fix it.
I did a live chat with Apple Support and they were of ZERO help!

Same here, Putting call on speaker and the other person can’t hear you anymore, this issue is with both 17.0.1 and 17.0.2

The issue originally started with the IOS 17 upgrade. It’s not any of the subsequent updates.
Removing the case did not work for me. After several tests the speaker still cuts off after a couple minutes. Turning it off and on again resumes the connection, but temporarily.

Just updated iPhone 14 to ios17.1 and speakerphone is now working fine after two tests. Hope it lasts. The previous update from 16.? to 17.03 cause it to stop working.
I think best thing is to bombard them with help requests - they told me only last night that other users are not having this problem !
This has been working for the past week so far. Seems the glitch is in the mix isolation setting
