Cellular Data is On 5G Logo shows but No Internet

This started happening few days ago and till now it still hasn't been fixed. It's the same for both of my Physical sim and eSim Data logo shows with full bar signal yet no internet. I've tried resetting network settings, force restarting phone, removing sim card and putting back on, updating to the latest version 16.7 and nothing worked. Since esim is also not working I'm guessing there is a problem with my phone.


I'm using iPhone 14. Should I update to ios 17 will that fix the problem?

Everything was fine 2 days ago and now its not.

I have tried restarting, turning bluetooth and wifi on/off, resetting default network settings. Nothing has worked.

If I put my sim into an old iphone I can use apps such as safari without any problem. What can I do to fix this without resetting the whole phone and losing my data?

This advice from Apple customer service is useless! Apple, the questions posted here with the challenges we're all experiencing are beyond this. We all know how to use cellular data and activate it on the iPhone. Apple, you're having a system-wide crash of some sort here that is major and critical because it is not allowing many users to use their phones basically unless they are on wifi somewhere. That is unacceptable and you need to resolve it for all operating systems as soon as possible.

Same issue on my 14 PRO MAX and 17.5.1. I would have strong signal in 5G and 5GUW but no internet. Turning on to airplane mode, I will get internet briefly but then it goes dead. If I switch settings to LTE only, internet is back and consistent. 5G Auto and 5G On both will show strong signal but no internet. NONE. Maps don't load. web pages don't load. Speedtest can't even find a server and times out. I've tried network reset, new esims, cellular on/off, even factory reset.


TLDR: LTE fine but 5G flakes out to no internet.

I upgraded my iPhone 15 Pro to iOS 17.5.1 yesterday. The same problem occurred this morning. No internet data access while using Google Maps when my phone was showing 4 bars and 5G on the Vodafone Australia network. I have seen similar no internet data messages in Waze and other apps. I switched mobile data off and on and this morning that fixed the problem. Normally this fix is temporary so I will monitor today.

You're wrong on both accounts. The person they were replying to is a community specialist (they work for apple). And 2nd, the newest update has screwed up a lot of people's cellular data and there are plenty of forums saying that it only happens after the update. So the logical place to turn to is apple. Maybe if you aren't having any technical problems and don't know what you are talking about you should not use these forms
