Cellular Data is On 5G Logo shows but No Internet

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue. I too have an iphone 13 that is showng 2-3 bars of 5g. I can make and receive calls, send and receive texts but I can't access any apps including safari unless I am on wifi.

Everything was fine 2 days ago and now its not.

I have tried restarting, turning bluetooth and wifi on/off, resetting default network settings. Nothing has worked.

If I put my sim into an old iphone I can use apps such as safari without any problem. What can I do to fix this without resetting the whole phone and losing my data?

This advice from Apple customer service is useless! Apple, the questions posted here with the challenges we're all experiencing are beyond this. We all know how to use cellular data and activate it on the iPhone. Apple, you're having a system-wide crash of some sort here that is major and critical because it is not allowing many users to use their phones basically unless they are on wifi somewhere. That is unacceptable and you need to resolve it for all operating systems as soon as possible.

I am seeing the same issue in iphone 13 currently, were you able to resolve it? I have tried all sorts of things mentioned on web and apple site but no results

I am having the same problem with my iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 17.4.1 on the Vodafone Australia network. I see Vodafone AU 5G with 4-5 bars of reception but my mobile data/internet connection keeps dropping out. This has been occurring for ~2 weeks.

Did you find a fix? I am having this issue now...

Having the same issue on a new iPhone 15. I have full 5G but can’t load music or stream anything unless I’m on WiFi.

Same issue on my 14 PRO MAX and 17.5.1. I would have strong signal in 5G and 5GUW but no internet. Turning on to airplane mode, I will get internet briefly but then it goes dead. If I switch settings to LTE only, internet is back and consistent. 5G Auto and 5G On both will show strong signal but no internet. NONE. Maps don't load. web pages don't load. Speedtest can't even find a server and times out. I've tried network reset, new esims, cellular on/off, even factory reset.

TLDR: LTE fine but 5G flakes out to no internet.

I am having the same issue for iPhone 13 too with latest iOS 17.4.1. I have tried all sorts of recommendation but they don't help at all. I swap the SIM card to another non Apple phone and it works.

iPhone 12. Cannot access the internet on 5G. Worked fine until 3 days ago. Looks like everyone is having the same problem unless you have an old phone and can’t update. Get your shot together Apple. Your supposed to be the best and brightest

Me too I have 5G but I can’t go to safari or other apps unless I have internet. What can I do?

Go to Settings > mobile service > and scroll down and check the list if your Safari is enabled to be used on the mobile network. This could be your issue. Good luck!

I upgraded my iPhone 15 Pro to iOS 17.5.1 yesterday. The same problem occurred this morning. No internet data access while using Google Maps when my phone was showing 4 bars and 5G on the Vodafone Australia network. I have seen similar no internet data messages in Waze and other apps. I switched mobile data off and on and this morning that fixed the problem. Normally this fix is temporary so I will monitor today.

Fixed for me by locking to Vodafone Australia's 4G network only. My guess is there was a temporary problem with Vodafone's 5G network.

I left for several weeks and I can now use the 5G network.

In fact, I travelled overseas with my iPhone 15 Pro and did not have any problems with 5G networks in Singapore or Hong Kong.

You're wrong on both accounts. The person they were replying to is a community specialist (they work for apple). And 2nd, the newest update has screwed up a lot of people's cellular data and there are plenty of forums saying that it only happens after the update. So the logical place to turn to is apple. Maybe if you aren't having any technical problems and don't know what you are talking about you should not use these forms
