Cellular Data is On 5G Logo shows but No Internet

This started happening few days ago and till now it still hasn't been fixed. It's the same for both of my Physical sim and eSim Data logo shows with full bar signal yet no internet. I've tried resetting network settings, force restarting phone, removing sim card and putting back on, updating to the latest version 16.7 and nothing worked. Since esim is also not working I'm guessing there is a problem with my phone.

I'm using iPhone 14. Should I update to ios 17 will that fix the problem?

I need help please. Thanks.

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue. I too have an iphone 13 that is showng 2-3 bars of 5g. I can make and receive calls, send and receive texts but I can't access any apps including safari unless I am on wifi.

Everything was fine 2 days ago and now its not.

I have tried restarting, turning bluetooth and wifi on/off, resetting default network settings. Nothing has worked.

If I put my sim into an old iphone I can use apps such as safari without any problem. What can I do to fix this without resetting the whole phone and losing my data?

This advice from Apple customer service is useless! Apple, the questions posted here with the challenges we're all experiencing are beyond this. We all know how to use cellular data and activate it on the iPhone. Apple, you're having a system-wide crash of some sort here that is major and critical because it is not allowing many users to use their phones basically unless they are on wifi somewhere. That is unacceptable and you need to resolve it for all operating systems as soon as possible.

You aren't addressing Apple at all here. This is a user to user only forum. If you or anyone else is having an issue accessing Cellular Data on your iPhone (I'm certainly not having any cellular data issues), the logical place to turn is to your carrier as they are the service you pay for cellular data options.

Solved: i chatted with my Carrier support. I asked if they could check my account on the backend to see if the issue was the carrier or the phone. Within minutes, the internet was back! So in my case, it was the cellular service. Not sure why they couldn't figure it out when i reached out to support multiple times iver the month that this was going on.

This is not a carrier issue. SIM works fine in other phones.

the issue is the iOS mobile network stack

If this is true, then it would be happening to everyone, but it's NOT. I don't have issue accessing the internet on cellular data. I have two iPhone 15 Pro phones. I know several people with 5G iPhones who also are NOT having any issues accessing data or internet using cellular. And there is no such thing as the iOS Mobile Network. iPhone doesn't have it's own network. Carriers provide data, not Apple. Either contact your carrier or don't. That's up to you.

I have been having this problem off and on since July 24 even overseas in Singapore. It happens without warning and after talking with Optus fixed it a couple of times. This time I have found the cause to be Nord VPN. As soon as I turned it off the internet immediately worked. Thinking back this step was part of several completed together. Sounds like Nord needs to look at a fix but until then I will keep turning it off and on.
