Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

i am also facing same issue with iphone 15 pro max. This is very weird and strange, never had this problem with previous iPhone. Screen is getting frozen and unresponsive. Is it good to have this phone or replaced with iPhone 14 ?
I did what you told us and no changes. I feel unresponsiveness on different apps, camera, keyboard are the most obvious. I didn't feel that lag on previous iPhones I had. It's been a week and I am not happy about it. What can I do? Should I send it?
My screen is frequently unresponsive but the most annoying is it will not respond to the tap on the top of the screen to scroll back to the top of page. Mega annoying. Never had this issue on my 13Pro. Overall so far disappointed as it is not by any means an upgrade of the previous phone. It alway felt like that before.
Hello! How should we proceed? I'd like a solution. If this is a software related bug, I know you will fix it. Otherwise, we are in trouble, and maybe we should ask for support and send the device.
Thank you
I upgraded to the 15 pro last week and having issues with touch screen not being responsive.
also I edit color and text in Photos and it keeps crashing or saying it can’t save my changes …..this is making it impossible for me to do my work I am used to doing on my iPhone 12 Pro.
is there going to be a fix for this?
Someone please let me know how can we get this serious touch/tap issue.
It’s so disturbing and annoying, never thought an iPhone experience would be like this.
Facing this on my 15+ since Day1, phone is 4 weeks old now.
@Apple Support please fix asap.
Hello, I was hoping Apple could fix this issue with software, I'm not so sure now anymore. I updated to 17.1 and the same problem still persists. We don't seem to get any attention from Apple either.
Really disappointed with my brand new iPhone 15 Pro max
Ok after updating to 17.1. I thought it would fix but still persists. I thought I was hallucinating or I was not pressing hard but after testing it was still there. I am not sure if this is still a hardware or software issue.
I had the same problem, unresponsive screen, flickering display and strangely some of my apps just log out or do not react at all, I am also having issues with data it usually takes a while for my new phone to actually get on 4G or WiFi never had any of these issues with my previous iPhone. Its something what definitely should not be happening on a phone that costs 1.2K - quite disappointing really.
I’m getting the same, plus the eSIM is a nightmare. This thing is honestly so bad that it feels like some sort of trick being played on me 😂. I spent two hours at the Verizon store the other night trying to get my phone to be able to receive incoming phone calls.
After only 1 month my screen froze, never to work again even after MANY attempts at Verizon with Apple. They did send me a new phone, but cannot link my watch to the new phone and cannot wipe the old phone and must return it. HOURS on line and on the phone with Apple.
SOOOOOOO FRUSTRATED. Do not purchase an iPhone 15
There's an additional concern regarding the touchscreen response on the right side. Approximately 4mm of the screen is unresponsive. I conducted a test using a painting app, and the issue is evident in the attached picture.
To illustrate, I used a thick white line to mark the screen's edge with a thick brush and then employed a thin brush in red and yellow to highlight the response boundaries. Upon downloading or viewing the picture in full size on an iPhone 15 Pro Max, you'll notice that the response edge on the right side is 4mm away from the actual screen edge, unlike the left side, which aligns well with its screen edge. (The red line indicates the responsive area at the edges.)
Hello everyone - this is my second week with my new iPhone 15 and I'm experiencing the same issue screen becomes unresponsive and no matter what I do it just stays like this. I cannot turn the phone off, access any apps or do anything really. Currently at the Apple Store waiting to see someone for support. Anyone who went through the same? I'm afraid they won't fix or replace my phone...
I have this issue as well. It only started a few days ago. I didn’t get the phone wet or anything, it was out of nowhere. The first thing that happened was it sort of scrolled by itself a bit, it was jittery. After that stopped I have issues with the middle of the screen sometimes about 1/3 of the way down the phone. It just doesn’t do anything for a good while. I scroll or click somewhere else and then it’ll work. Logging in here I couldn’t click the sign in button, for instance. On Mercari couldn’t rate my seller. I updated to the latest software last night and it still happens. Has anyone found a fix?
If it matters, I have a 1TB phone in silver/white. I do use a glass screen protector which has been working fine for a month.
i also am frustrated by my new pro max unresponsive AND also over-responsive touch response.
it messes up re-dials and causes selecting actions I don't intend and it's annoying.
I'm wondering if it is due to having a high quality screen protector on it. Might that be causing the phone to fail so often? Or is it the software itself?
it is very unlike my past iphone models.
