Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

I had the same problem, unresponsive screen, flickering display and strangely some of my apps just log out or do not react at all, I am also having issues with data it usually takes a while for my new phone to actually get on 4G or WiFi never had any of these issues with my previous iPhone. Its something what definitely should not be happening on a phone that costs 1.2K - quite disappointing really.

There's an additional concern regarding the touchscreen response on the right side. Approximately 4mm of the screen is unresponsive. I conducted a test using a painting app, and the issue is evident in the attached picture.

To illustrate, I used a thick white line to mark the screen's edge with a thick brush and then employed a thin brush in red and yellow to highlight the response boundaries. Upon downloading or viewing the picture in full size on an iPhone 15 Pro Max, you'll notice that the response edge on the right side is 4mm away from the actual screen edge, unlike the left side, which aligns well with its screen edge. (The red line indicates the responsive area at the edges.)

Hello everyone - this is my second week with my new iPhone 15 and I'm experiencing the same issue screen becomes unresponsive and no matter what I do it just stays like this. I cannot turn the phone off, access any apps or do anything really. Currently at the Apple Store waiting to see someone for support. Anyone who went through the same? I'm afraid they won't fix or replace my phone...

I have this issue as well. It only started a few days ago. I didn’t get the phone wet or anything, it was out of nowhere. The first thing that happened was it sort of scrolled by itself a bit, it was jittery. After that stopped I have issues with the middle of the screen sometimes about 1/3 of the way down the phone. It just doesn’t do anything for a good while. I scroll or click somewhere else and then it’ll work. Logging in here I couldn’t click the sign in button, for instance. On Mercari couldn’t rate my seller. I updated to the latest software last night and it still happens. Has anyone found a fix?

If it matters, I have a 1TB phone in silver/white. I do use a glass screen protector which has been working fine for a month.

i also am frustrated by my new pro max unresponsive AND also over-responsive touch response.

it messes up re-dials and causes selecting actions I don't intend and it's annoying.

I'm wondering if it is due to having a high quality screen protector on it. Might that be causing the phone to fail so often? Or is it the software itself?

it is very unlike my past iphone models.
