My phone randomly turned off while I was using it and now the screen is black and its blinking the apple logo every 5 seconds. I have tried a hard reboot numerous times but it is not working. How do I fix this.

(1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:
(2) If the above does not work then - Follow the instructions in this article by Apple ➔ If your iPhone is Non-Responsive or Frozen and see if that helps.
(3) If that does not help, then contact 👉 Official Apple Support OR you can always get your iPhone examined at the Apple Store 👉 Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and evaluation.

I fixed mine by plugging it into my computer, then I held the power button until the computer icon for backing up ur phone showed up. Then I unplugged it, held the power button again, which let me actually power it off and it turned back on completely fine. Idk what happened but this worked for me so maybe it'll work for someone else
Hi, I have had this issue about yesterday night, the phone wasnt responding as soon as the battery ended and the phone shutdown i tried to charge the phone then waited for hours still couldnt figure out whats going to be the solution. Today, I went to the local repair shop where the phone was diagnosed with the "Display panel's ribbon" which was damaged by the short circuit due to the water damage (which happened 2-3 months ago) or may be the phone fell down on the cemented floor earlier in this month, but the repair shop guy repaired it in like 20-25mins and yet its running smoothly again Alhumdulillah! Try getting your phone diagnosed by the repair shop. I hope it will work again!

I just had this problem with my iPhone 11. The solution is to connect your phone via cable to your iMac or Mac mini ( I have M1 Version). Once connected the iMac will update your phone for you. If you don't need to update then your phone needs to be restored to factory. The iMac will do that if needed.

Recharge after letting it die (out of juice) might help.
Don't bother asking Apple Online Support for help..they'll just refer you to Troubleshooting pages (same instructions as Axel's). If you have fallowed all the steps, they will try to divert you to nearby stores for the appointment.
There is a reason for those types of responses. You can only address software issues here. Possible hardware issues cannot be confirmed unless a tech examines the device physically. I refer to the troubleshooting guides because they are written accurately and easy to follow. If the guides do not help, then contacting Apple Support is recommended.

1) No iPhone has ever been waterproof.
2) Putting a phone in rice if it gets wet is bad advice. It doesn't actually dry the phone out and rice and rice dust can get lodged in ports, making everything worse. Also, it's a waste of food. You're phone would have dried out just as quickly sitting on a table.
I'm currently having the same issue with my sister's phone. The logo started blinking after she ran out of battery and when I tried to update it the first time, it restarted and started blinking again about 10% into the update.
Have same problems, tried recommended tricks but no result. Took to repair expert, changed battery and repaired a connection, stopped blinking but now will not charge up (no flash symbol or charge amount showing). Apparently phone is taking a small amount of charge but that’s all. Coming to conclusion that it’s past repair due to cost(s). Is this a known problem with iPhone 8?
wow, i had to have my screen on my iphone 14 replaced cause it had dead spots and wouldn't type correctly, does this screen replacement always take away the water proofing? I dont get my phone wet like that but it is often in the bathroom when i take a shower and there hve been a couple times where randomly for no apparent reason my phone will say "can't charge at this time water detected". and i was like what it's not even plugged in , and it wasn't wet. Today though i was watching a youtube video when the phones battery went to zero, well when i plugged the phone in a minute went by then i saw the logo and walked away only to come back and find it on the logo again. I thought i had a ****** cord that kept disconnecting but then hooked it to a c to lightening charger and a fast charger wall outlet, same thing, boot loop. This would make perfect sense though cause when i went to apple they said that the 4013 code means the motherboard isn't communicating with the hardware, basically it had just done a update to 18.2 and must have tried to reboot and didnt have the right files now i dont have an ios on the phone at all. using imazing i can see the phone but the sim says empty, the ios says 0.0, etc etc
How can I fix my iPhone that is stuck on the Apple logo?
