Is Wi-Fi password visibility disabled in iOS 17 Update?
Since updating to iOS17 I am no longer able to view the wifi password for a network that I am currently connected to. Is there a reason for that?

My iPhone is on iOS 17.3. I can see my password by selecting Settings > WiFi then tapping the "i" to the right of that name. Your password will show up as a series of dots.
Tap those dots, and your password will appear. Please note: I am not on iOS 17. I am updated to 17.3. Please try updating your iPhone by selecting Settings > General > Software Update. Follow the prompts to update. Once done, try looking for the password using my steps again.
Based on your screenshot, you're one screen too far.
If your password has been entered via another device it won’t show. Choose “forget this network” and then re connect entering password manually. It will then show on info button
I have seen this behavior too, but what is strange is that on iOS I can see passwords to about half my known WiFi networks, while on MacOS I can see them all—something that seems even stranger as iCloud syncs the names and passwords of known WiFi networks.
The problem is that the (i) button doesn't open a separate area with the password anymore. It navigates to the same wifi info page as if you tap anywhere else on the row. I can't find any other view/area that has the password anymore.

Did you read the OP and see the picture at the start of the thread? This thread is exactly because they are not there in OS17
I took this photo from my iPhone which is on iOS 17.3. NOT iOS 17. I just want to make sure we are all on the same iOS in this discussion.
Carol, you seem to have missed the point: the issue with the passwords that were *shared* with you, not with the one you typed yourself. Also, when people say iOS 17, they don't usually refer to iOS 17.0 - they refer to any version with the major number being 17 (i.e. 17.0, 17.1, etc.)
I am having exactly the same frustrations. I just updated from 17.1.2 to 17.3.1 and it did not solve the problem.
My wife is not yet updated to 17 and she has the password field visible (despite having acquired it by sharing).
Nothing on this page explains or helps resolve the issue. I still cannot see a password field for wifi logins
Yes, apple please fix this. This was not an issue in IOS 16.

I’ve done all available updates and I still cannot see the wifi passwords. My only available updates are to 17.2.1
maybe because I’m in Canada? I don’t have access to 17.3 yet
THANK YOU GZ49! That trick works and is the only answer that solved the challenge 🙌🙌🙌🙏🙏
And as per the other participants - yes, Apple please fix this bug!
I’m also experiencing this problem
THANKY YOU!!!
I don’t have the password as it was shared with me. So I cannot type it manually. I need it for another device… frustrated
