iOS 17 Messages -> Info: no longer displays Satellite map view

It’s so sad funny, it’s like they sent us 10 years back, and then they basically give us half of the function back. Yippee? Uh…You would think with the big, fat upgrade, they wld come out w a 10-D 360 real time super techno satellite 2023 functionality. <fizzle>. But yeah, better than the Palm Pilot view.

I’ve been using my old Xr that I haven’t updated to 17 because of this insane change. Well, this and other features that that Apple decided to ruin; don’t get me started on the changes to the searching in iMessages 😒

PLEASE FIX SHARE MY LOCATION BACK TO PRE iOS 17 UPDATE!

This ridiculous change in iOS 17 iPhone is the most frustrating annoyance one should ever have to experience!

Why, Apple, Why?

It makes no sense why this was changed to something 1000 times worse, which DOES NOT bloody well work!

I even changed back to my OLD iPhone on a number of occasions, because I couldn’t use the updated Location Maps feature and I REALLY HATE IT!

It’s got so many BUGS, the location circle jumps around, you can’t actually work out EXACTLY where your teenager is on a map which, mind you, looks like it’s been drawn by a 2yr old.

My teenager called me in distress for help the other night, and do you think I could find her on the (🤬… you know what) SHARE MY LOCATION MAP?

NO! I could not.

I do not even know why I am wasting my time writing this… because who the **** from apple is listening anyway?!?!

It’s been months now, so many complaints about this, and still nothing.

Get it together APPLE.

With regard to the satellite location View seems like everybody's on board except for Apple. We pay so much money for these phones. We also pay a lot of money for the service and now it looks like they are going backwards instead of forwards. They need to fix this the android phones have a lot more to offer lately. I may be thinking of one.

Definitely step back. It was very reliable before through find my or messages. Everything much worse now.

Reverse upgrade for sure. Upgrades (or reverse upgrades) are mandatory by my work policy otherwise I would have skipped most.

Yes! Please fix this. Satellite view available in find my but not through contacts location.

I hate this, why Apple Why ? The satellite view is very helpful. When you have children traveling when your husband travels for a living we need this fixed.
