iPhone 15 Pro Battery Drain Issue

I have bought iPhone 15 pro recently. The expectation is battery should be efficient, but is performing poor than iPhone 11. Especially Findmy app is used all night. The battery went down from 55% to 32%. Please help me to fix this?

Well, I just updated to iOS 17.0.3 and my iPhone 15 Pro 512gb natural titanium is still as warm as ever and the battery has still dropped 15% in one hour …

I talked to someone who works for Apple and they said it’s not gonna get any better that they had better venting and heat dissipation for the 14 pro with the stainless steel and that the A17Pro Chip gets too hot …and titanium doesn’t allow it to disperse. I don’t think any software update is going to make this work. and when you have a hot chip, you’ll have a battery that drains extra fast.

i’m going to further test it tomorrow on Thursday and see how it goes — and then I’m taking it back Friday (within the first 14 days) and getting all my money back. I’m glad I kept my 11 Pro. I would suggest everybody to do this as Friday is your last day to get your money back since it was the first day you could pick it up in the store

this is by all means a massive hardware design defect and there’s no remedying it. I don’t know what Apple‘s gonna do with this one. The only way they can stop it from getting hot is the throttle that A17 chip and the expert I talk to said that’s not even gonna help much. Some units are fine some aren’t. I’m not gonna gamble my $1500 on it again.

Recently bought my wife a new iPhone 15 ProMax as an upgrade from the 13 ProMax which we both had and I still have. Despite checking all settings and shutting down all the battery hogs battery life is still about half of my ~2 year old 13 ProMax with ~87% battery health. No indication it’s a hardware issue, her usage profile and system configuration is pretty much the same as with her iPhone 13 ProMax. This is ridiculous, hopefully Apple gets this sorted out quickly, NOT HAPPY!

Quod erat demonstrandum.

I updated both of my iPhone devices to 17.2.1 yesterday and on the contrary, I can watch my device counting down battery percentages again.

Today’s numbers:

- iPhone 15 Pro: 0 h 49 min screen time = 87 percent, low power mode toggled on. (battery health: 100 percent. Charging cycles: 50) 👎

- iPhone 13: 6 h 16 min screen time = 46 percent battery left (battery health: 100 percent. Charging cycles: 15) 👍

I have had my iPhone 15 Pro for two weeks, charge the battery every night, and use the phone lightly during the day.

The battery is 50% drained by noon and can’t be counted on to remain charged all day. Unfortunately, I can’t count on the phone to stay charged in case of an emergency and wish I had never purchased it. I keep my iPhone 13 charged and carry two phones to be safe.☹️

I can’t see any solutions to this issue?!?

I purchased an iPhone 15 pro and have have been extremely disappointed with the battery performance. I replaced the battery in my iPhone X which now has a more reliable battery than this new phone! Disappointed is an understatement and very frustrating to see this has been reported for months with no solution or explanation from apple….

I just don’t understand why people are paying that crazy money to buy the best phone and just complaining…Apple is nowhere…

I bought iPhone 15 pro and got a refund a couple of months ago as I don’t feel it’s reasonable to need all this additional settings-restrictions to use a brand new phone…

back to my iPhone 11 that with battery health 74% isn’t that worse than the new one…how sad?

Frankly ridiculous and worst than this Apple team is completely hiding…

I'm pretty happy with my battery life on my iPhone 15 pro unlike the iPhone 14 pro max which was really disastrous. I'm going to share some YouTube links that will help you save your battery life 😀

Thanks @MarioIvanov, but nothing in these videos address battery drain while phone is in the pocket or on the night stand. Also, they change all kinds of features that actually have (almost) no effect on battery and most videos like this are just for YT clicks. At the same time, why bother with the iPhone if you turn everything off? And last but not least, for me at least, the iPhone 14 last so much more than the 15 pro while, with absolutely everything turned on.

I am telling you, Apple is training their AI on our phones. :p

Indeed not fixed at all.

Got my iPhone 15 pro max from yesterday. Before that I had 13 Pro max for 2y and it was holding longer with 2yo battery- it was still lasting almost 2d without charge on 17.2.1.

With new 15 pro max and the same iOS it doesn’t hold a day!

I have contacted Apple support since I have it directly from Apple Store and they told me to request replacement.

Speculation: did Apple attempt to get the bottom line up but installing a cheaper inferior battery! It’s not any setting or everyone 15 would not be doing it! My 13 pro max had much better battery life and the same settings were transferred to the new 15! I’m thinking even if Apple agreed to send me a new 15 pro max I would have the same faster battery drainage problem! What to do??????
