This copy of the Install I am trying to install Monterey but get this error message macOS Monterey application is damaged, and can‘t be used to install macOS.
I haven't updated the iOS for a few years

Choose Applications from the Finder's Go menu, throw the existing installer away, restart the computer, and download it again.
