Any idea where you can see your weekly step totally in OS 10?

Updated my watch and now I can’t see my weekly total steps - just weekly total calories burnt

Apple Watch SE, watchOS 10

As part of my weekly training programme , I am required to complete a minimum 10000 steps a weeks and report them to my coach, where as on the previous iwatch OS I was able to see my previous week's steps. I now can't and the only way is going into the App on my phone and adding each day

This is a major inconvenience and feel it is an ill thought out decision made by Apple. There are MANY trining programmes that require doing a set number of steps and now we cannot see them. This needs addressing in the next release so that when scrolling through the weekly metrics, it includes steps. This is very disappointing.

Why do we have to download another app?

You have to download another app because, at the movement, that's the only way to get the data you want. If you don't want to download another app, fine but then accept that you won't see your weekly steps.

That is not a customer friendly response. I think my next watch will not be Apple and if I switch my watch I can start to switch my other products too. I can purchase from a company that listens to what customers want.

I don't care what watch, computer, or phone you buy. I would only suggest you buy the one that best meets your needs.

I am hoping if Apple customers want to see weekly steps, they will bring it back.

Have you told them it's important to you?

why would we download another app when I can buy a different brand of watch to get options I want.

Apple doesn't intend for the Apple Watch (or iPhone or Mac) to have every single feature that every person needs. That's why there are third party developers and App Stores.

Buying a different brand of watch is far more expensive that just downloading another app.

The idea that I can no longer track my weekly number of steps bothers me. Apple, please fix this.

You can certainly still track your weekly steps. You will just need to get an app that does that. It's been pretty clear from the beginning of the Apple Watch that Apple has little interest in steps as a health metric.

Meanwhile, you can download one of the dozens, possibly hundreds, of apps that will let you do what you want. Or try something like a Fitbit. They are more step-focused.

Worst update from Apple how can the weekly step summary be taken out. As part of my training I have to 77k a week and having the summary was a good way of checking throughout the week whether I was on target or not. Please can this be added back in.

No one participating here in this forum has the ability to add that feature back. You can let Apple know you'd like to see it here:

Given that Apple seems quite uninterested in focusing on steps as a health metric, I would suggest that you look into some of the excellent step-tracking apps available. The provide better data than Apple ever did for steps tracking. StepsApp has a very nice interface.

It is very annoying we can’t c ow weekly steps. When is this going to be addressed.

This is a user-to-user technical support forum. No one here would know when or even if Apple will ever make this metric available again. My guess is no, they won't but it's just a guess.

And, in the meanwhile you can use one of the many other step counting apps that does provide that information.

I used the total steps total all the time on my Apple 06. Bring it back! The little chart on the watch is useless!!
