Any idea where you can see your weekly step totally in OS 10?

Updated my watch and now I can’t see my weekly total steps - just weekly total calories burnt

Apple Watch SE, watchOS 10

As part of my weekly training programme , I am required to complete a minimum 10000 steps a weeks and report them to my coach, where as on the previous iwatch OS I was able to see my previous week's steps. I now can't and the only way is going into the App on my phone and adding each day

This is a major inconvenience and feel it is an ill thought out decision made by Apple. There are MANY trining programmes that require doing a set number of steps and now we cannot see them. This needs addressing in the next release so that when scrolling through the weekly metrics, it includes steps. This is very disappointing.

Seeing my weekly steps was one of the main reasons I purchased my Apple watch. I could see my weekly steps total until this recent update, which is awful. Guess I'll be looking at new wearables and moving away from Apple. Completely ridiculous decision to remove this!!!

You should always buy the tool that best meets your needs. And, if step counting is one of them, that's probably a different device. A few years ago, I would have recommended FitBit, but it's currently unclear what Google is doing with the platform. Not to mention, there's giving all your data to Google.

Wow! What a horrible way to respond to a lack of customer’s wants and needs. I certainly hope you aren’t acting as a representative for Apple.

Of course I'm not a representative of Apple. This is a user-to-user forum as explained in the Terms of Use to which we all agreed when we registered. Apparently, only some of us actually read it before agreeing.

Obviously, the removal of of a matrix (which the OS calculates anyway) is used by watch owners everywhere.

Why do you assume its used by all Watch owners? Do you think everyone has exactly the same needs and goals that you do? In fact, I'm one of those people who isn't interested in step counting.

To dismiss it as “Apple” only cares about “Awards” is fool-hardy at best.

That is not what I said. I said Apple is not interested in steps as a fitness metric. It's pretty clear that the metrics Apple is most interested in are Movement, Calories Burned and Standing. You can tell that because of the big color circles in the Fitness app. There is not and never has been a big colored circle for steps.

If the Apple Watch doesn't meet your needs, there are plent of other fitness trackers out there that focus on steps, most notably Fitbit. I bought an Apple Watch in part because that's not it's focus so my needs align well with the technology. But I am aware that not everyone will want the same things that I do.

Check the Health app on your iPhone. Go to Summary, then under Favorites you will see a section named Steps. There you can see steps count (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly). If you cant see the Steps section, go to “Edit” and make it a favorite.

In the Health app, the Week tab only gives you that daily average. There is no total for the week. The same is true of Month, Six Months and Year. Sure, you can add up the number manually.

Ludicrous decision. What core functionality will Apple remove from the watch next? Its ability to tell the time? At this stage it honestly wouldn’t surprise me. Listen to your customers Apple. I can assure you this is my last watch and last iPhone that I will purchase. Your arrogance is off the scale.

Although I have, on occasion, been called arrogant, you can't lay the blame for this at my door. I had nothing to do with this decision. Nor did anyone else participating in this thread. I don't care what phone or watch you buy. You should buy whatever best suits your needs.

Any idea where you can see your weekly step totally in OS 10?
