IOS 17 update ... Find my Live stopped working after update, anyone have a fix for this yet? Thank you

I have an iPhone 14 and it is updated to iOS 17.4 but live tracking is still not working. I don’t know if it’s related but I cannot air drop to my wife’s phone. Other phones work ok. Come on Apple, let’s get this fixed!!!

I have an iPhone SE second generation and upgraded to 17.4.1 last night -probably not a wise move on an old phone. Now "Find My" doesn't work with my daughter's iPhone 11, nor can I see her location in "messages" on my iPhone. I can still see my husband's location and my mother's and they have SEs. All I get for my daughter is her last location, which was before I updated. However, I can still see her current location in Messages from my MacBook Air which is running Sonoma 14.4.

APPLE SUPPORT: Any ideas why the Find My isn't working for just her phone? And how to fix this?

Thanks for replying. I thought by posting the same problem as others that maybe the Apple support staff would see that it's still an ongoing issue for some people. I don't have her listed in devices, but I can try that. Thanks.

Thanks for that Tcubed, yes I've done the same thing with them, I don't believe for a second that they are not aware of the problem, I think they are just trying to wear me down. my case is 102242779911 if you want to pass that on too! I'm getting close to contacting our department of fair trading as Apple have knowingly reduced the functionality of my device with this "upgrade" and not offered me a way to return to where I was before the "upgrade"

My phone is set to update tonight. I’m thinking I should not get it. My husband had his update now the find my iPhone with using his watch doesn’t work. We use this feature all the time.

everytime there’s updates we seem to have more issues!!!

Apple has updated multiple times since OS 16. Find my I phone live was working fine with OS 16. They wen to 17 and everything got F***ed up. The MFers at apple has not fixed the problem and all the clowns posting seems to have a solution and non of those work. Really ****** off!!!

Given that some of us use this for safety (for example - in South Africa, it's a safety thing to be able to share each other's location in case we get hijacked or something) it's really bad that it's not working at the moment.

Can apple at least not break things with their updates? Honestly their products just seem to get worse and worse. There are things that stopped working years ago (eg syncing books to my iPad) that I just gave up on.

I’m guardian to my 11 yr old grandson, I use Find My Friends to track him to/from school via his iPhone 13 for his safety. I have an iPhone 11. Find My Friends was slow to update locations before the iOS 17.4.1 update but now doesn’t update at all. It’s really disappointing and will have to revert back to his old tracker watch. I’ve tried all of the recommended solutions listed so far and no joy.

I have been an Apple iPhone/ipad user for well over a decade but I’m beginning to get cheesed off with the increasingly limited lifespan of their products, especially when you pay a premium for them. I’m so fed up I’m thinking of moving away from Apple.

Installed 17.5 on both mine and my husband’s iPhone. Still can’t get a location for him but he can see me. This only started last Friday (10th May). Tried all the potential fixes I can find but no joy.

Mine is a 15 Pro Max, his is a 11 Pro Max. I can see his phone under devices, but under people it shows No location found.

No settings were changed on either phone before this fault started.

Anyone else still having issues?

Latest “update” has ruined my phone. When are Apple going to fix this. Disgraceful that they subject customers to this none sense. Expecting customers to be tech savvy to fix problems generated by Apple is farsical - FIX THIS NOW APPLE

Do you actually mean iOS 17.0.2? I don't think iOS 17.2 is even in beta yet.
